I forgot how much I thoroughly adore this tea. It’s fragrant right in the bag (and fragrant for a bagged tea, period), and has a light hand with the tea base. I can hold a mug and just smell it; almost as good as drinking it.

It’s honestly far more jasmine than green tea… the green tea flavor is almost nonexistent. So if you’re looking for a good blend of the two flavors, or a stronger tea, this probably won’t do it for you. It’s a hardcore floral, and not much else.

Steeping this tea too long definitely makes it bitter. I prefer my tea strong, but for this one you really don’t want to go past 4 minutes or the flavor will be off.

Lots going on in this one. Spicy, herb-y, peppery… I smelled cloves in the aroma but didn’t taste much in the tea itself. Not a knockout, or a really memorable tea, but a good everyday blend.

I wish it would have been a bit stronger, but was worried about it going bitter with a longer steep- seemed like it was on the edge when I tasted it. Might try two teabags for intensity next time.

This was a nice surprise. I’ve had other honeybush that turned weird or tasted too sweet to me, so the Numi version is refreshing. There’s not really anything else to it- no blends, no bonus flavor. I prefer my tea strong, so I brewed it quite a long time and it still didn’t taste heavy or bitter at all.

The aroma is more complicated, and sweeter, but the actual flavor is simple; mostly a grass-like freshness.
