11 Tasting Notes
I like this tea, but not as much as I like Hot Cinnamon Spice from Harney & Sons, which is what I was looking for when I found this. However, it’s nice and a bit different. I like it for a little variety. It demands boiling water and a long steep time to get the right flavor and took a couple of times to get it right.
Preparation
I bought this tea on recommendation from a friend. I was sick and couldn’t smell anything when I bought it, so I was surprised when I opened it up one day and the tea was overpowering. I felt almost sickened by the smell, but decided to try brewing it anyway, as I’m a sucker for blueberries and my friend liked it so much. I’m glad that I did because, once brewed, the scent becomes more subtle and complex. It’s a great tea and I like it when I need something fruity. I find this tea better when it’s steeped both hotter and longer.
Preparation
This is one of my all-time favorite teas. The green flavor isn’t overwhelmed by the floral fruity notes of cherry blossom, but the scent carries. It makes my office smell amazing and it’s a very calming, soothing blend. I could drink this tea just about every day.
This is a great blend of teas – black and green and accented with guava. I don’t taste the coconut or strawberry, but I love the flavor. I first drank this in the silk teabags and fell absolutely in love, but when I ordered the loose leaf tea, I was left a little disappointed. I’m betting it was just the batch didn’t quite get mixed like the previous one – an unfortunate coincidence. I will reorder this tea so I always have it on hand. It’s one of my stand-bys.
I love this tea. It’s a strong black tea with cinnamon and apple notes that give flavor, but aren’t overwhelming. I wish there were a little more cinnamon and a lot more apple flavor, but I usually end up adding extra tea to the brew and do alright. It’s a good one for people who are too shy for Hot Cinnamon Spice, but still like cinnamon flavor.
I like this tea a lot, but it’s a very strong spice-flavored tea. It’s finish is black, but the orange, clove, and almond are strong, so I have to be in the right mood for it. If Christmas had a flavor, this would be it. It is good alone or with sweeteners and milk.
I was reluctant to try this one at first because sometimes cinnamon can be overwhelming, but here the tea is strong and spicy and just a little sweet. It’s the perfect kick in the bum for mornings that start off slow and a great way to wind down a day, too. In my opinion, the hotter the better and average steep time are best.
