28 Tasting Notes
I have had a fair bit of this tea already. I also really enjoy it with milk and a scootch of sugar. I prefer to drink my tea straight up for convenience sake mostly, to be honest and this tea stands on it’s own just fine.
The aroma is just delightful! The time that I spent up north with my Dutch and Scandinavian friends makes me treasure the almond in this tea and brings back many wonderful memories. The flavor is a lovely, rich and slightly sweet flavor. I love this so much it may be one of my fave teas.
Preparation
It smells like birthday cake. However, the flavors are definitely those of the flowers that are inside. It’s a bit of a disappointment that it’s not a stronger cake flavor. I may send it to my cousin in college who enjoyed it when we tried it the first time last weekend. Maybe it’s better with milk and sugar? I’m out of milk and sugar does a little something for the tea, but thinking the milk will help.

Wow. We are really striking out with you. I’m sorry about that. Yours are the lowest scores we’ve gotten from anyone. I’ve had a lot of people who really enjoyed each of the teas you’ve disliked, but I guess everybody’s different.
I still have two to go and am really enjoying the cinnamon fig rooibos, perhaps I should go back and see what I wrote about it. I have not hated any of the teas at all, please don’t get me wrong. I love your company and what you do. It is so creative!
tried it this morning with milk and sugar and now it’s quite perfumy. Not sure what I did to get that effect. Like it better with no milk.
Well, I’m typically quite intrigued by rooibos although it’s really not my fave tea at all. Nonetheless, I was excited to try this offering by 52teas.
The color is a beautiful golden red. I know that there is a better way to describe it but I’m tired and a bit at a loss for words. The aroma is slight, really slight, makes me wonder of the taste.
The taste of rooibos is not lost but may not be as strong as most others I’ve had. I don’t really taste the cinnamon much but there is a light sweetness coming from the figs.
Overall it’s fine and I will certainly finish the 2 oz bag I purchased. I have just got to quit buying rooibos and remember it’s just not my fave.
UPDATE: After repeated brewing, the cinnamon does become stronger and I am enjoying it even more. I’m getting ready to try a fourth steeping and we’ll see if that is one to many steepings.

Cherry Cola takes me back to when I was growing up. I remember drinking ice cold cherry cokes on a hot summer day in the yard or even over at the local (sadly, long since gone) DQ. I was thrilled to get my first shipment from 52teas and pulled this one out right away to try it first.
The smell is a bit much for me, it is really quite strong. While I like the overall flavor, after much consideration I’ve decided that there is too much cherry flavor for me. I do like it but am looking forward to now trying the second steeping as others have mentioned it stands up well to such. I also look forward to sharing this unique tea with friends.

Have you tried it iced w/ soda water? I love root beer black prepared that way so I was curious if this’d be just as good. I don’t like cherry coke (only vanilla and the discontinued coke blak for me) so I’m depending on someone like you that loves cherry coke to tell me about it:)
I have not. In fact I rarely drink iced tea at all, which may be strange since I love hot tea. I’m from SW KS where practically the only tea people drink is iced. I imagine it would be tasty that way though.
No, it’s not because I used to be the exact opposite:) I was just wondering how much it would taste like cherry coke (especially if you sweetened it before chilling) vs. tea.
This is delightful! I had a cuppa yesterday morning and added cold milk, due to time. It was wonderful but cooled far too quickly so I’ll have to be more prepared next time. The flavors of the chai blend nicely together and I’m thinking of adding some of my tea masala from the Kenyan coast next time. Dang, wish I wasn’t at work, now I’ve worked myself up and I’d love a cuppa right about now. Sadly, the tea is at home.
I purchased this tea when I was living in Kenya last year specifically because it said that honeybush is thought to help rehydrate you. I have a friend, who was also living in the equatorial heat of Kenya, who does not like to drink water. I thought she might enjoy this tea and it would be healthy and keep her a bit more hydrated. She loved it and so now we both have it in our cupboards.
This is a tea with a distinct taste, not so far from a rooibos I don’t think, but somehow better.
This is perhaps the best chamomile I’ve ever enjoyed. The flavors are so smooth and calming. I don’t always sleep well and so enjoy a cup of this many evenings. Chamomile is not a choice beverage for me but I was trying it to help me relax at night and decided to try this blend from Argo and it is truly outstanding. I’m going to need to order some more after the new year. (I’ve put a moratorium on ordering tea until then, my family and friends think I’m out of control. They have no idea what out of control REALLY looks like and as you can see from my cupboard, it is not me.)
