I love this tea.

Its rosy, flowery, chocolaty, with a hint of strawberry.

It has a good flavor, and is nice on its own. But I like to add some vanilla almond milk!

If you don’t like flowery or rose teas, this is not for you.

Flavors: Chocolate, Flowers, Rose

I wish I had bought a second tin!

Okay, so I’m at work (10pm to 7am) and I forgot my infusers… No bags also…

So, just floated this bad boy and spooned it out. I really don’t mind doing it this way often (I feel it gives the leaves a chance to really unfurl and fully infuse) and they usually settle to the bottom anyway.

Boiling water in my hot pot in the break room.
About 1 to 1.5 tsp on a 8 oz cup.

Sit for 3 min. First sip was WOWZA! Honey notes, malty, bread, yeasty note. (I work in an ER, saying yeasty didn’t seem quite fitting, but co-workers got a good laugh.) I was apprehensive about liking yunnan. This is my first. Let’s just say I’m hooked!

After about 10 minutes now, there’s a nice bold earthy flavor, still some honey. Not as much honey undertones as golden monkey has.

Now its probably been 2 hours, and its still great cold. Its a bit bitter, but not so much that its not like a good cup of black coffee.

Flavors: Bread, Earth, Honey, Hops, Yeasty

Preparation
Boiling 5 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 10 OZ / 295 ML

The first time I brewed this tea it was literally on a whim. I had just bought it, ripped it open, scooped out 2 tspns and eagerly dumped it into “hot” water. I was initally scared it might not have been hot enough, but it is a green blend, so I hoped for the best. Turned out to be for the best! It was delicious! :)

I could taste “fiji apples” and a slight “fruit punch” flavor, which I am guessing is the kiwi taste? I really didn’t get much kiwi. I could detect a hint of kiwi, but not much. No biggie for me though.

Second time around I think I made the water TOO hot, because I wasn’t able to get that fruity taste. The green tea is all I can taste second time around.

I would probably buy this again because its relatively cheap and easy to get down at Mejier, or at the Giant Eagle near my work place. I would also buy this again because I like the taste. :)

Flavors: Apple, Fruity, Green

Preparation
170 °F / 76 °C 2 min, 30 sec 2 tsp 12 OZ / 354 ML

(review of the bottled version)

I love ginger, and this tea was STRONG with ginger. There was so much ginger that I was literally chewing little spicy, bitter, tangy pieces of actual ginger.

This was also SUPER sweet…

I finished this because I like ginger, but at the same time I wouldn’t buy it again.

I have something against these bottled Argo teas… I think its because to me they don’t feel refined enough to come out of a bottle. Most of the ones I’ve tried of theirs are either too strong, too sweet, or there’s something off.

I have high hopes for the sangria one!

I liked this very much!

I tried this room temp, decided to pop it in the fridge and the enjoyment factor shot wayyyy up!

The rooibos was a tad over powering, but after the first three sips it seemed to mellow out.

The pomegranate flavor was all there and tasty for sure.

If you really like rooibos, then this may be for you!

I would try this again, but more for the glass than anything else!

POW. HONEY. Do you like a rich, dark, full honey taste? This tea is for you. Well, I’m not certain about the honey to tea ratio. Hahaha… I do like this WAY better than the Mojitea. This was actually tasty and I actually wanted to finish the bottle unlike the Mojitea. So wonderful chilled, and also tasty iced!

Keep in mind I’m not an expert. :D

The first time I made it, I took a few BURNING sips, and tasted hints of vanilla with a fudgy, hoppy aftertaste. YUM! I let it cool off for a few moments, and… What?! What’s going on?! I think part of it is because I used too much water to too little leaves, because it became something different. It literally tasted like a beer tea. I honestly don’t mind, but where did the fudge and sweetness go? I also think the hardness of the tap water here has been effecting my tea. I used to use a water filter, because I hate the chlorine smell/taste of our local tap water. I had to play around with it a little more…

Second time around…
WOW WOWIEE! Now I know exactly what people are making a fuss about! This time I used almost exactly 1.5 tsp with 8oz of water. (First steep was 12-14oz to 1.4 tsp. Which didn’t turn out well for me.) I let it cool down and it tastes like chocolate malt tea. In my opinion its best this way! :)

I love the weird hoppy, nutty after taste. Its akin to the taste of a good stout. Yum! Any beer aficionados out there agree?

I’ve also read that it tastes like fresh baked bread, after sitting here for awhile, there is a subtle aftertaste of toasty baguette crust.

Definitely play around with this tea. I didn’t have good luck with it at first, but now I know where I went wrong.

So dynamic and interesting. Skipping out on this would be a mistake!!!

So, an update to the past tasting note I made for this. I have now cold brewed this tea. I can’t remember if I added a little agave nectar or not, but it turned out alright.

The sweet strawberry flavor came through, but still no cream flavor. I do not taste a true cream flavor. To me the “cream flavor” is super mellow and almost sour. A creamy sour… Like sour cream tannin…
