Consistent with Soleil Teas’ other products, this Jasmine Pearls is very high quality and reasonably priced. When I say reasonably priced I don’t mean cheap (I’ve found much cheaper at a local store). But it’s very affordable for what you get. Jasmine Pearls are, after all, Jasmine Pearls to me. Very natural scent and succulent taste but I gotta say I love their Elderflower Delight much more in terms of flower teas.

I picked up an ounce of this Van Dyke along with a couple other blends from these guys. This is the second time I’m buying from Soleil Teas and I only have great things to say about them so far. I just love how unique their blends are! In fact they don’t seem to carry any typical flavored teas.

I really didn’t know what to expect when I bought this Van Dyke. First whiff of the dried leaves was a tranquil journey through the woods. I used 2 heaping teaspoons with 10 oz of water in my french press and brewed for 1 minute. The scent was so refreshing. It was mossy, foresty , woodsy… The best part is that it tasted as promising as it smelled. I think the high quality black tea base (Fujian Noir ?) made a huge difference. The cup was smooth with a tad of fruitiness and lots of malt. Reminds me of gin almost. I give this tea an A+!

I’ve heard both good and bad things about Verdant Tea on this forum so I decided to try it myself. Got there sample and I’m not the most impressed with the flimsy packaging. You get what you pay for though so no complaints since I only spent five bucks on this. The Laoshan roasted oolong is alrt. It’s floral and toasted. I tasted almond, chestnut, and honey. I steeped it for 2 min for starter with 8 oz of water. And then I add 15 seconds to each subsequent infusion. Got 3 cups out of the leaves before it was stale.

I got this from my sister couple months ago and finally made a cup last Thursday. This tea has a vanilla scent that’s very pleasant to smell but not too apparent when you sip on it. I like the tea base they use. It seems like some Jin Jun Mei (a Fujian black tea) or a golden tip Xiao Zhong to me. Malty and cocoa like. Goes pretty well with milk and sugar
