Days 3 and 4, Calendar dates 4/16-4/17. Raised temperature of the water to 210 and 215 respectively. Steeped 10 and 12 minutes respectively using the same 12 oz yixing cup. Tea still holds its taste after 4 days, just altering brewing process.
24 hours it is!! Previously, I had cold brewed this tea for 8 hours, it was okay. A full 24 hours makes a nice ice tea. Jasmine Flavor is much more pronounced.
Prepared tea in a yixing infuser cup (12 oz), drank 2 infusions. Looking at the dry leaves you would never think that this green tea, aged but still green tea. The brew is dark and very smooth. Taste is smoky, earthy. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.
Cold Brewed in the Fridge for 8 hours with the Travel Buddy. Cut open two pouches.
Trying a full 24 hours tomorrow. Light and refreshing as an ice tea. Still taste the undercurrents of the jasmine with only an 8 hour brew time.
Prepared in a medium sized yixing pot, enough for 1 full cup. Tea has floral scent prior to brewing, which gives way to aromas of fruits. Amber liquor leaves a sweet taste in the back of the throat.
I cut two pouches open and added the tea to a Travel Buddy, which allows you cold brew tea in the fridge over night. prepped tea the night before. light, refreshing brew in time for dinner.
