To be perfectly honest, I’m not even sure this is the right tea. I found it at a local cafe that had made up little samples of loose tea for stocking stuffers. All it came with was a label for “Rose Congou.” I looked up teas companies that the store carried and this one was the only that matched.

Onto the tasting note…

I have finally figured out what a “floral” note means. And this did smell like roses. I thought that was going to be a problem, but on the whole, it was actually good. The black tea seemed to be lighter with the rose in it. I’m tempted to try it with some sugar on the next cup.

All in all, pretty good for a mystery sample!

This brew is much more citrus-y than the last one, but still delish.

I put a bit of sugar in to sweeten it out just a tad.

From yesterday. Had a crazy morning and went to Zen, one of my fave teas of all time.

Used this to help get me through the morning drive.

I love drinking it in my clear tumbler. The little cornflowers bouncing up and down in the water are so pretty.

Sweet and light, a great drink after the long drive home last night.

Made this cup a bit weaker and added a bit more sugar than I had been and I enjoyed it much, much more.

A light and refreshing green tea.

The citrus smell is almost over-powering when you open the tin, but it doesn’t taste too artificial once brewed.

The more I drink this the more I love it.

This was brewed a bit cooler than normal, but still tastes wonderful.

It was love at first smell.

Earl Grey has always been a touch on the bitter side for my liking, but the vanilla smell and taste help to overcome this problem. Adore this tea. Have already re-brewed once today!
