It helps that I had this tea for the first time in Colombo while enjoying a lazy afternoon with friends, but I do think I would love this tea anyway. The cinnamon is in perfect balance with a delightful ceylon black. This tea transports me to Sri Lanka every time I pour myself a cup of it!

whew. I love Earl Grey and I really didn’t like this one. I think I’ve narrowed it down to the vanilla flavoring that threw me way off. Whatever it was, this just did not work for me at all.

I don’t know that this is going to replace any of my favorite black breakfast teas. But that’s actually what I liked about it. Tasting lighter, and feeling lighter in my mouth was just a nice, pleasing way to wake up. This might become a nice weekend tea for me – when I don’t need the harshness of a work wake-up!

I’m shocked that I enjoyed this as much as I did – a nice surprise. I may even buy some of this. A pleasant all around flavor, enjoyable on just about any type of a day.

Maybe it was because I was recovering from being sick when I had this, but I really liked it more than I thought I would. The ginger wasn’t overwhelming but was strong in the right way.

Bio

Most Enjoys:
A strong black tea, preferably from Sri Lanka or India. I tend to steep it a little over to get just a touch of bitterness, which I enjoy.

My Ratings:
100-90: One of my favorites, a tea that stopped me from doing whatever I was doing, to just enjoy its flavor.
89-80: I would buy again, I enjoy, but one that I can have while rushing around or reading or internet browsing – my standard breakfast teas probably fall in this range. I very much enjoy them.
79-70: An good tea. It’s pleasing in some way and I may buy it again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to make sure I have it in stock.
69-60: A tea I enjoyed, but nothing really stood out to me.
59-50: Better than average, but nothing that delighted or pleased me. It was fine.
49-1: Varying degrees of I didn’t enjoy this tea. The lower the rating goes, the more there was at least one element that I actively did not like.
