drank Pu-Er Tea by TenFu's Tea

Light and earthy.

It’s not overpowering or too weak. It’s light and earthy. It has a bit of a “fishy” note but only in scent, not taste. VERY clean and smooth. Velvety almost. The taste of the whole process is apparent but the taste of the tea itself comes through as well. Just a great tea. Probably a good introduction into pu-erh.

Good balance of tea and sweetness.

This is my first and only matcha but I will say, I like how it’s sweet but still lets the green tea come through. Good for when you want something sweet, something quick, or something a little different. Beautiful deep green color. I don’t own a whisk but if you pour it from a bit of a height, you can get a pretty good froth on top. It’s good for cooking as well although I haven’t gotten a chance to do that yet.

Wow. Instant favorite.

This sencha is perfect. Vegetal and sweet and silky smooth. Clean, no astringency. Just wow.

drank Man Cave Tea by Adagio Teas

Aptly named although, a little Lapsang Souchong would make it extra manly.

A good blend of rooibos, pu-ehr, and several other teas along with hazelnut and almond flavoring. I’m not usually a flavored tea kind of person but I like this too a lot. Reminds me of Stella D’Oro cookies. Would probably be good with milk and honey. Certainly a very unique tea.

Always liked this tea.

It does seem to help me relax. Kava is not some hokey wives’ tale – it can be powerful stuff. I like the taste of it. Spicy and smooth. Personally, I’ve been cutting the bags open and mixing it in with some masala chai. Makes for a good spicy blend that wakes you up but keeps you relaxed. Tastes good too.

Solid.

Truthfully, I haven’t had a whole lot of different masala chais yet. I like this one however. Not too spicy and not too much cinnamon. The base tea flavor comes through well too. I would like a spicier blend however but I still end up making this one with milk and honey at least once a weak usually.

Cherry flavor was way too overpowering.

Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t like the cherry flavoring in this tea. It was pretty overpowering and didn’t really let the sencha come through.

drank Gunpowder by Adagio Teas

Solid green tea.

A good, solid, reasonably-priced, every-day green tea. I like it more than the Temple of Heaven Gunpowder that you find all over the place (although that stuff does have its charm). Cleaner than mosts other gunpowders I’ve had which is nice.

Not the most flavorful rooibos but still solid.

I like it on its own or sometimes with milk and honey. Also goes well when mixed with other teas although I rarely do that.

One of my absolute favorites.

Very smokey with hints of pine but the base tea still shines through. Warms you up on a cold day and is nice to drink during the summer as well. I love the smell more than anything. Classic lapsang souchong smell – just like a campfire. This is one of the first teas I suggest to friends when I want to show them just how diverse tea can truly be.
