Okay so whatever I did differently with this one worked wonders!! It’s so very yummy!
I still don’t get much lime, but the spice note is subdued and there is some definite fizzzzzz going on.
I think there might have been less “spice” in the brewed leaves, but I can’t be sure. Either way, I’m bumping the rating wayyyyy up. In fact I may consider stocking this one :)

Darn! I saw “Lime Fizz” and was pumped about a lime tea to try… but you say there’s not much lime. I love lime, so that makes me sad. Oh well… not as if I need to add to the shopping list anyhow!!

I dunno, it could be just me! I’ve had trouble tasting citrus lately so don’t lose hope :)

Kittenna

Really, I should just start adding freshly squeezed lime juice into things. I’m such a lime addict. You know how you were caught “eating” tea? I continually get caught in bars (or restaurants, now that I’m over my undergrad years) attempting to floss my teeth to remove the limey bits caught between them after I ate the limes out of everyone’s drinks. Yep… XD

Indigobloom

LOL I am totally like that about anything in a restaurant. I hate seeing people ooh and ahh over their food, esp dessert and then leave half of it on the plate! I always steal a fry. But not yet a lime ;P

Kittenna

Hahaha, I am always stealing tastes. And most people are willing to let me have their limes/lemons, after they’ve squeezed them, if not before. I’ve actually taken to requesting a small bowl of lime/lemon slices in restaurants and bars :D Come to think of it, I’m probably a really annoying/embarrassing person to go to a restaurant with…!

Indigobloom

lol you’re talking to the girl who eats lemons dipped in sugar… ever tried it? soooo good. Like a lemonade candy!! I’ve even done that in a restaurant a few times…

Kittenna

Love it! Haven’t tried that though. But I do eat rhubarb out of the garden, and sometimes dip it in sugar!!

Indigobloom

omg I looooove fresh rhubarb. I always forget to buy it when in season, it’s out for such a short time!

Let’s see… I’m a tea and workout fanatic, I work in HR, and most of my friends consider me to be an egg. White on the outside, Asian on the inside :)
-from philosophy to food, I love it all
Otherwise, what you see is what you get! I can be very straightforward and yet shy.

Also, I’ve started taking tea sommelier classes and it is an absolute blast! Well, so far I’ve only finished the first out of eight courses, but I am really looking forward to the next one.

Anyhow, if your curious as to how I rate things, this is how I work…

0-25
Like eating dirt, or some other unsanitary indelicacy that mentioning in my profile here would likely get me banned.
I don’t think I’ve found cause to banish a tea to the wasteland yet though so who knows what it’d inspire ;P

25-50
You know that expression “Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater”? I imagine drinking that water would be terrible enough to warrant this rating!
I’d never make my enemy drink this, but perhaps I’d throw it at them. Good thing I don’t have any enemies!

50-70
This is “tea”?? I tried finishing the cup… but my body rejected it. There may be others who enjoy this tea, but it’s beyond me!

70-80
I tried liking it, and I can almost get there! I certainly don’t hate it, but something is holding me back. Allergies? Men in white suits? who knows… certainly not me!

80-90
Lovely tea! Not my all time fave but close. I likely wouldn’t repurchase, but may decide to based on many factors: price, accessibility, whether it fills a “tea gap”, medicinal applications, and how often I crave it.
Every once in awhile I find the sweet spot that bumps these up to 90+. Those are the days I need to buy a lotto ticket!

90-95
Sweet Camellia! this is realllly good tea! Don’t talk to me until I’ve finished my cup…

95-100
Tea of the gods. I would do anything to get my hands on more of this liquid gold!
