This tea smells amazing. It is sweet but not overpowering. I definitely taste apple and a hint of cinnamon. The almond flavor leaves a nice, soft aftertaste for me. I am pleased to have another herbal dessert like tea for the evenings!

My husband ordered this tea to go from the store. I tried a bit of it. It tasted like a liquid slice of pumpkin bread with heavy nutmeg or clove spice. It was an interesting flavor but not one I would want a full cup of.

I finally got to visit a David’s Tea store! I ordered this tea as a latte. It was very good. A nice chocolate flavor with a hint of spicy chili. It was a nice cup of chai to keep me warm, but not good enough to buy for my stash.

Mild coconut smell. Very pretty leaves of various colors. It tastes smooth and mildly like coconut. It’s slightly sweet. I think this would make a great dessert tea.

Yum, these tea leaves smell just like a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream. It definitely makes a good cup of dessert tea. It’s sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. I taste more mint than chocolate. It also leaves a bit of an Andies mint aftertaste. I like it!

I went to the store looking specifically for a sleep blend. I picked a few up but chose this one as I love caramel. Unfortunately, I do not taste any caramel. But it does have a nice spicy yet sweet flavor and after one sip I felt relaxed. Time will tell if it helps my slumber.

It is a rare green tea that I enjoy. But this is sweet, smooth, and light. I decided to sample this because I love caramel and this does not disappoint. I used 1 teaspoon and it’s perfect. My only complaint, and this is appearing to be the case with all of the sample sizes I am opening, the leaves are so tiny that they float their way into my mug. I have to sip around them until they finally sink to the bottom.

Another sample received with an order. Leaves smell of cocoa and hazelnut. Again the leaves are too small for my infuser and I have tea leaves in my cup. After steeping for 4 minutes I smell and taste hazelnut, but no chocolate. I added a bit too much water so it’s not very flavorful.

As it cools, this tea tastes medicinal. Still no chocolate and not much hazelnut. I’ll try it again since I have enough of the sample for one more, but I don’t have high hopes.

drank Gingerbread by DAVIDsTEA

I received a sample of this with my very first Davids Tea purchase. I purchased the caffeine-free sample pack and can’t wait to try them out. Since I’m much into the Christmas and winter mood now, I am happy to try this out.
I could smell gingerbread in the leaves, but a very sweet gingerbread. I guess that would be the molasses. After the tea steeped for 5 minutes, the taste was much less sweet and definitely like a gingerbread cookie to me. I am happy with it. I did add a splash of milk after a few sips to see if it would be any better, but the milk didn’t make a noticeable difference.
My only complaint, and I don’t know if this is a trait of all of Davids products or just this sample, the leaves are incredibly small and many made their way into my tea. I’m not a fan of that.

This tea smells very much like sweet butterscotch candy, which is deceiving since it did not taste overly sweet. It was good, but I think I may add some rock sugar next time and see how it comes out. I used 1.5 teaspoons and will not adjust it for the next cup. I have only tried a couple of white teas in the past and like how light they are. This is no exception.

I don’t know a whole lot about tea, but want to explore it more and remember the journey!

I am a 30-something year old wife and stay-at-home-mother of one. When I have time to myself I enjoy tv, classical music, reading, knitting, and math puzzles. But mostly I spend my time playing play doh and dollhouse, coloring, and creating with Legos.

I’m trying to figure out the best system for rating each tea. Unfortunately it’s not easy to pick out an exact number on my iPad (which is what I use most frequently), so my ratings must be in a range.

0-20: This was terrible, my husband can drink the rest.
21-45: This tea was drinkable.
46-70: I enjoyed this but not enough to purchase again.
71-99: I enjoyed this and would buy it again.
100: One of my favorites; it will always be in my cupboard.
