Dry: smells very strongly of orange and chocolate. Instantly reminds me of those chocolate orange balls!
Wet: mostly orange. The smell of chocolate seems to go away here.
Liquor: a dark brown with some orange. The smell of chocolate and orange is more subtle here.
The actual tea has more of an orange taste with the chocolate note hitting at the end before you swallow. It’s pretty interesting. There is also some very slight earthiness from the pu’erh but to me it is very subtle. The tea leaves me with a slightly dry mouth.

Overall I think it’s a decent tea and I like it, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to repurchase it.

Upon first sniff, I get flavors of pumpkin, caramel, vanilla, and spices. It’s so delicious, I just want to eat it up! The liquor itself is like a dark amber color. After brewing, the smell of spices are much more subdued. This chai isn’t as “spice heavy” as some other chai teas that I have tried in the past and I do appreciate that. The smell almost reminds me of a pumpkin cake which is very pleasant. You can really taste the pumpkin here and I also get just a subtle hint of butternut squash. It’s great with a little bit of sugar and milk, it really rounds out that pumpkin cake flavor that I get from this tea. I really enjoy this one overall! I have yet to try the mate in their Pumpkin Collection but I think this one is my favorite so far.

This is the best travel mug I have ever used. I mostly left it uncapped (mostly) but it kept my tea HOT for a long time. I underestimated it and burned the crap out of my tongue when taking a sip. Towards the end it was warm but still a good drinking temperature. That was over a period of 6-7 hours. The design includes an infuser basket that attaches to a strainer. The infuser basket is detachable. Underneath the lid is an extra compartment where you can store extra loose tea. I didn’t have any issues with the those tea leaves getting moist or anything for the time I had the cap on (close to an hour).

The pu’erh is what drew me to this tea because I don’t have any pu’erhs in my collection and I’ve never had it before. The description also sounded amazing.

Dry leaf: dark chocolate brown. You can see the chocolate chips, curls, cacao nibs, etc in the mix.
Liquor: dark chocolately brown.
This is basically a hot chocolate in tea form. It’s pretty sweet on it’s own, but it’s been pre-sweetened. I taste a bunch of chocolate and I also taste a slight amount of earthiness which is probably from the pu’erh. Overall I’m pretty impressed with this tea, it is pretty tasty! I didn’t really get much “milkiness” from this tea but maybe I didn’t use enough tea for my first steeping.

I’m confused about the caffeine content, though. Here it says medium but on my package it says it’s a stimulant (high amount of caffeine).

Edit to add: this tea definitely has a high amount of caffeine. It pumped me up enough to send my butt to the gym!

What a lovely fall tea – a zero caffeine delight! Upon smelling this dry, I could smell a lot of pumpkin, cinnamon, spices and vanilla. I love the large pumpkin chunks that are in the blend! The maple and pumpkin are really brought out when the tea is wet. The liquor is a fall, pumpkin orange – perfect for this tea! The taste is smooth, bright and reminiscent of pumpkin pie. Takes milk and sugar well. The milk helps amplify the pumpkin pie with whipped cream flavor. I personally prefer this over Teavana’s Pumpkin Spice Brulee.

I love this mug – it comes in a lot of cute and fun designs. The infuser basket is perfect – the basket itself is very fine so I don’t ever find little bits of tea leaves at the bottom of my mug.

I have a mug similar to this – same type from Teavana just a different design. The cup itself is ceramic and pretty to look at. It comes with a ceramic basket to steep your tea but the holes are somewhat large so you need to be careful when brewing finer tea. The lid looks like a gaiwan lid and helps keep your beverage warm. I’ve had this for over a year now and the artwork on the mug hasn’t faded or anything. It’s held up very well. I’ve also thrown mine in the dishwasher over that time period.

I’ve had this for a couple of years now and it still works as if it’s brand new. I love this thing. It’s so easy to use and has a decent water capacity. I haven’t tested the “accuracy” of the water temperature but my cups of tea turn out perfect every time imo. There is also a filter by the spout that can be replaced if needed. I recommend this kettle to all of my tea-loving friends.

I initially tasted a sample of this in store and it was delicious but I decided I wasn’t going to spend any more money on tea this year. I went back the next day and purchased a tin of this stuff. This tea is straight up chocolate and peppermint – so creamy and dreamy! It tastes like you’re drinking a hot chocolate except it’s tea. There’s also apparently some licorice in this tea…I’m not a fan of licorice but I don’t even notice it here. The tea is pretty sweet on it’s own so I don’t think it needs sugar. I have a major sweet tooth and this tea actually helps curb some of my cravings. There is sort of a film on top after brewing but I assume it’s from the fat of the white chocolate chips. Personally, it doesn’t bother me. The tea claims to be caffeine-free but since chocolate contains caffeine, I think there are very small traces of it in this tea. I have no issues with falling asleep after drinking this tea, though.

I’m a registered nurse working in the ER and currently a family nurse practitioner student. I’m also a tea enthusiast, video game nerd, foodie, fitness junkie, introvert, & nature lover. You can find me wherever there is tea and food!

I got started getting into loose leaf tea a few years back at (hate to admit it) Teavana. Since then I’ve started branching out. Black and oolong teas are my favorite and that’s what I drink the most of. I also like green tea, and white tea is okay. I like some rooibos tea blends and I’ve never had pu’erh.

My usual brewing method: 12oz mug, 1.5-2tsp loose leaf tea, fresh water heated to correct temp and steeped for correct amount of time (depends on what I am drinking). I use a Cuisinart 1.7L Perfect Temp Electric Cordless Kettle.

I want to get into the gongfu cha way of brewing.
