3 Tasting Notes
I loved this tea so much, I went back and bought 100g of it in the tea tin. It is super delicious to have in the morning. It is a super fragrant tea which translates well into tasting super yummy as well. I drink it usually without any sugar or milk – but added some in along with rock sugar makes it a really good treat. I usually tuck some in into my tea ducky and it makes a satisfying brew in the morning. It’s nice to switch it up from my regular old earl gray.
Preparation
From the description, it sounded like it would be super yummy. I smelled it in the store and it smelled like a nice spice cake. After brewing it? I completely hate it. There is something artificial tasting about this tea. After trying to make it work for the last 3 brews (tried adding honey, rock sugar, adding soy/almond/regular milk), I give up. It is not the tea for me and in fact, drinking it makes me slightly nauseous.
Preparation
I was looking through some mate teas to try out and this jumped out at me (haha, no pun intended). Took it to work for some pre-work teatime. The taste reminds me of somewhat like a cross between a barley tea and roasted green tea. Very delicious. It has a smooth aftertaste which makes sipping this tea all the more easier. I will definitely buy again.
