Although their art is magnificent to say the least, the selection of teas is extremely disappointing. If you are into arts this is a great place, however teas are not their strong point.
If you can see the photo in this description, you will notice a comfy fire in the middle. Great appetizers accompanied by traditional teas one would expect from a real tea house. A must go if you have a gorup of friends and would appreciate a phenominal urban yet rustic setting.
As far as the interior design, this place is THE BEST. The staff is very friendly but the mood is something to be desired. It has a dark but earthy atmosphere, with accompanied red coloring to add the subtle flair or a comfy environment.
On to the Teas: There are many teas to choose from and I can say I have tried just about all of them. I also like some of their special house blends are readily available for order, so you can take and brew. However the environment prbably is the best one in the Vancouver area in my opinion.
This is a great place for a breakfast outing, as their cherry pastries are delicious accompanied with a great breakfast tea they have their in house special which is a must try. I have not been here during the evening, although I have heard the atmosphere in the evening is relaxed. I intend to take my girlfriend here some time. It is worht it for the atmosphere.
This is a great place, you can bring in a laptop, order a great cup of tea, and even order a sandwhich. This is a great place with ample room to meet friends, work on your computer or more. The people that work here are friendly and the turkey sandhich is a must, nice portions of food.
If you are looking to brew your own tea, this place has a pretty decent collection of teas and will not let you down. I am very satisfied with them.
One of the best kept secrets, if oyu have a chance to journey here, bring a friend, it is hard to find, but is across form the cactus cafe, you cant miss it.
Lovely atmosphere and tasteful teas!
I have been here once, and the atmosphere is great and the conversation is good. The owner is very pleasant and although it is on the other side of town from me, I need to make a point to get back here. Their tea is delicious !
Shaktea is my personal favorite Tea establishment in Vancouver. I enjoy a cup of tea here at least once per week.
Seattle, Wa is a very good place for tea drinkers. Don’t let the gambit of coffee lead you to believe there are no good tea places. In my opinion BC, Seattle and San Francisco have some of the best tea places in the United States.
Seattle Best Tea has an interesting atmosphere, while offering a decent cup of tea.
