I seem to be pretty easy to please with gunpowder, so I like this. It’s not very strong, especially considering its type, but the lightly smoky green taste is nice and surprisingly refreshing. Like a lot of Tropical Tea Company’s releases, really: simple and nice for trying new things or stocking up on favorites on a budget, but probably not worth it for those with huge collections and a lot of knowledge.
Another one bites the dust… which is to say that I’m done with my two ounces of this and I won’t be missing it. I did manage to get more flavor by steeping more of it at once, but unfortunately it wasn’t much of an improvement — the flavors began to taste more artificial as they got stronger. And still no caramel, just pear and honey. Could be worse, sure, but I’m not a fan.
