I like to drink teas with ginger when I’m having tummy troubles. Unfortunately, this one barely tastes like anything. I can taste a hint of the peach, but I can’t taste the ginger at all.

Sample sipdown..also known as the many reason i’m going to kill terri lol

My cupboard tonight went from 205 to 273. Of that, 58 are above and beyond the teas i was expecting to receive from verdant and the BBB Box. So expect a hell of a lot of sipdowns from me in the near future as i focus on getting through the two giant ziploc bags of tea samples lol

This one had potential, but then it fell flat. There is too much rooibos taste and not enough pineapple and mango.

Mediocre rooibos, so I made it…in an espresso maker. Wow. Rooibos concentrate with a bit of steamed milk. Wow. “Good” is not quite the right word for it. Decent, though, and different. “Red Espresso” is the term, I believe.

Eh, I’m not sure how I feel about this tea…

Another bagged tea from TeaEqualsBliss
Again, with this brand I do not taste a lot of flavoring just mainly the Rooibos.
But, I do not mind rooibos:)

You have to steep this one just right to find even a hint of berry flavor. And the green rooibos isn’t as great as the red. There isn’t that mellow vanilla flavor to it that I love rooibos for.

I was expecting more fruit flavor here. Or any. There is a mild scent of fruit. I really love their vanilla infused tea better, but I’m partial to anything vanilla. BUT this does make for an excellant rooibos tea, regardless. Not bad for an Ollie’s find at $1.50 for a box of 24! Six cents a tea bag and it is delicious!

I bought this today at Ollie’s. It was in their ad for this week. Of course, I came to Steepster to see if they were any good before purchasing. It seems the Steepster consensus was yes, Suffuse can make a good tea. I picked up three boxes. I wish I had found some of the other flavors they have though, like pumpkin, apple and eggnog. It seems that Suffuse only makes rooibos teas, but I love rooibos. Anyway, this is delicious and silky smooth. I love any vanilla infused tea and a rooibos already has a vanilla flavor on its own. Smelled really good too. This one works well! They are caffiene free so they might become my go-to teas before bed, especially with winter right around the corner!

I just returned from a weeklong Florida vacation several days ago; the trip itself was a blast but the tea selection was a bit lacking (as in crappy tea on the beach and 2 total teabags in my hotel room). Luckily for me, I got back home to find quite a few wonderful tea samples waiting for me in my mailbox. Some of the tea I found waiting for me to review was rooibos tea from Suffuse Herbal Tea Infusions. The tea I brewed tonight was their Red Rooibos Tea with Mixed Berry, which Suffuse refers to in this way: “Packed with vitamins, flavonoids, & antioxidants. Helps protect the body against damaging free radicals.”

The rooibos plant, grown in a small area of South Africa, is used to make rooibos (ROY-bos), or red, tea. Rooibos tea is known as a very “healthy tea” due to it being caffeine-free and packed with antioxidants. Suffuse’s Red Rooibos Tea with Mixed Berry is a caffeine-free “100% natural” herbal tea which boasts of numerous health benefits. It has a delicious fruity smell, along with a sweet, pleasing taste. It tasted great as a hot tea, but if you brew double-strength and pour over ice, it also makes an amazing iced tea.

More about Suffuse’s Rooibos, from the Suffuse website:
Suffuse Rooibos Herbal Tea is more than just a refreshing beverage with an enticing aroma and naturally sweet taste. For centuries this redbush tea has been used as a home remedy for a large variety of conditions from headaches, poor digestion and allergies to skin problems.

Based in Houston Texas, Suffuse was established by George Allibone, M.D. who is not only passionate about healthy living but is also an avid tea connoisseur. He has made it the Suffuse mission to provide customers with exceptionally high quality, organically grown, 100% natural Rooibos fine herbal teas.

Suffuse Green Rooibos and Red Rooibos Herbal Tea Infusions include a large variety of both Botanical and Fruit & Spice Blends. Our botanical range includes all natural Rooibos tea blended with Hoodia, Buchu, Sutherlandia, and Sceletium, while our fruit and spice range includes many tempting flavors from Vanilla to Litchi. Rooibos tea has so many incredible health benefits it doesn’t make sense to not enjoy this delicious, antioxidant-rich, pick-me-up beverage.

Thanks go to LauraR for the chance to try this one.

This smells and tastes like rooibos, I can’t really taste the sceletium. It is quite weak, and I only made a small cup of this – 200ml with one bag. I didn’t really feel any relaxing effects from the sceletium either.

Thanks LauraR and sorry it took me so long to get to this one! The dry scent was very pleasant – rooibos but with a sweet, almost fruity, twist to it. This translated into the steeped scent nicely, but the taste was awfully bitter and left a horrible, sour note in the throat which was really not very pleasant. I didn’t steep this very long (for rooibos – 6 mins, boiling water), so the sutherlandia must just be very bitter.

Since I can’t drink red rooibos – headache inducer – I was hesitant to even smell a green rooibos tea. But now I’m trying samples of green rooibos and finding that it is actually a sweet, caffeine free alternative.

This one delivers a punch of orange, peach and mango. The medley of flavors creates a tropical infusion for your senses. Even though this is in tea bag format, I can still taste fresh leaves and this crisp cup.

I have to try the other flavors, but this one is a cupboard must for any rooibos fan – green or otherwise. It’s sweet and sensory. YUM!

The fragrance wafting from my tea cup right now is so pumpkin-y!

This is really delicious! The pumpkin is a very authentic flavoring, it tastes like pumpkin! Just a hint of spice, not much pie flavor, but, it doesn’t really need it. I like this!

I can’t really smell the eggnog comparison but I can taste it! And, like LiberTEAs I am not really an eggnog fan, but I don’t dislike it either. This is pretty good as far as taste goes tho and I am finding it REALLY creamy! I think that is the draw here! NICE!

Finishing off the last I have of this flavor. Here is my full-length review of this tisane:

A pleasant enough rooibos, a nice tea for evening. Warm and comforting.

I think this one is my favorite that I’ve tried from Suffuse thus far. I like the way the flavoring and the rooibos work together.

The ginger flavor develops as I continue to make my way to the bottom of the cup, it started out not so ginger-y, but now, I can taste that peppery note. It’s quite nice!

Boiling 8 min or more

Have to track this one down, love the Ginger Teas

This one is ‘ok’…it’s subtle in every way tho…it’s Rooibos with a slight gingerbread likeness.

I have to mention the aroma on this!!!

You know how some Pumpkin flavored stuff smells bitter, old, spicy, peppery, or otherwise? Well, THIS Pumpkins smells very sweet! But still pumpkin! It’s almost like a Sweet Potato sort of sweet. It smells quite pleasant!

Now…on to the rest of my tasting notes…

Yes, this is bagged, but I will tell you that the taste is intense for a bagged and very sweet! Yup! This is sweet pumpkin, folks! I really like this! The more I sip it – the more I like it! This surprised me! A treat, indeed!

LiberTEAS

I had some of this last night, I didn’t log it though… It really is pumpkin-y. Not much on the “pie” part, but I was happy to taste the pumpkin because so often it seems like the pumpkin tastes off on tea blends… not here though! This one is really good.

TeaEqualsBliss

I agree it was lacking in the pie part but the pumpkin was nice!
