This chai can be very spicy, so it makes a great morning tea (hence the name “cosmic consciousness”). It isn’t the same as most chais because it has more ginger and cardamon, which makes it unique. It is one of my favourite teas from Silk road because I love the combination of spices they use. It can be re-steeped several times and is also good iced or with sweetener.

Homemade advent Day #3
This actually tastes a lot like the “Love You” tea from yesterday but with a more distinctly spearmint base. The lavender is subtle and the rose is very nice. It gives a more nuanced floral undertone than either one by itself. The spearmint is a bit sweet and is aromatic (very fresh). It almost has a sweet dried grass bit of sweetness at the end of the sip as an aftertaste (along with the floral and spearmint that lingers). I love this blend.
Flavors: Dry Grass, Floral, Herbal, Lavender, Rose, Spearmint, Sweet
Preparation
Never oversteeps. Using boiling water will burn the leaves and make it taste bad, use cooler water and steep longer. I taste spearmint and also some floral notes like lavender and something that tastes like a lemon or citrus scented flower. This is amazing hot or cold. A local restaurant even makes Angel water flavoured ice cream (have not tried it.) I can understand why it is so popular, I think the sweet spearmint goes really well with the herbs and flower petals. I’ve had not-so-great cups of this flavour before, so I’m thinking the water temperature is important.
Flavors: Floral, Herbs, Lavender, Medicinal, Spearmint, Sweet
Preparation
Not a bad tea, though on it’s own I find it a little plain. I enjoy it very much in a tea-latte style with steamed milk, and a bit of vanilla and chocolate syrup; makes it taste like a red velvet cupcake! :) overall quite tasty
Flavors: Earth, Sugar, Sweet, Vanilla
Preparation
Quite a good tea, though I find it gets a little too strong for me quite quickly. I don’t much enjoy it hot but it makes a great iced tea with a little bit of sugar; it’s a lot less sour and it really brings out the spiced undertones. :)
