drank Tazo Chai Tea Latte by Tazo

I’m so surprised that I like chai as much as I do — the spices do NOT appeal to me in any other kind of dish or drink, but somehow, chai makes it work. And I loooove this particular chai latte — it’s probably my favorite of all the chai I’ve tried. It’s warm and soothing and pretty much what I think heaven probably tastes like. LOL

I actually really like this, surprisingly enough. I thought it would be gross — sparkling tea, blech. But it’s nice and light and refreshing. I’m trying to drink less pop, and this is a good substitute for it, I think. I think the strawberry/kiwi flavor is very pleasing.

This was my introduction to chai. I’ve since had better ones, by FAR, but for what it is, it doesn’t suck. And it piqued my curiosity about all the other kinds of chai out there, so can’t really fault it toooo much.

This will ALWAYS be in my cupboard, because it is relaxing, and also very very soothing on the stomach. It may not be my favorite, flavor-wise, but you really can’t beat the calming effect it has.

drank Earl Grey by Twinings

This has always been my go-to tea. Now that I’ve tried the loose-leaf Earl Grey Creme from Teavana, though, I don’t know if this will be the same for me. However, I think this will always be a staple in my cupboard, for the days when I just can’t be bothered to put out any effort. ;) Tastes really good with just a touch of Splenda and a splash of milk/cream.

drank Cacao Mint Black by Teavana

I just ordered a few different teas from Teavana — it’s my first foray into loose-leaf tea. Decided to start with this one. I was pretty much won over by the smell! It smells freaking amaaaazing. I added a little bit of the rock sugar to the leaves as they were steeping, and then put a splash of milk in the mug with the tea — it tastes just as good as it smells. Like a very decadent desert, without the guilt. This will definitely be a repurchase, as I can see it becoming an evening ritual for me.

New to the world of high-end teas, and REALLY new to the whole loose-leaf thing. Hoping to become better versed in the world of tea, basically. I’d like to know more than just “Mmm, tea is yummy”. ;)

So far, I tend to gravitate more to black tea, I LOOOOVE me some chai, and I really really REALLY can’t stand rooibos. Something about it reminds me of a barnyard LOL There are some green teas that I’m really sold on as well. It really is just a matter of me exploring new flavors and seeing what I love and what could grow on me.

As for me, personally, I am 32. I have a beautiful daughter who loves learning about and sampling tea with me. I love to read, love music, and am basically a big ol’ geek at heart.
