My amazing boyfriend bought this for me as part of a Valentines gift, and I was extremely excited because it is an extremely thoughtful gift and I love the idea of blooming tea.

I’m very impressed at the quality of the green tea itself. This company sells organic whole leaf tea that is hand processed, heavy metal/pesticide tested, and has its caffeine content right on the label (19mg caffeine/1g of dry green tea)

I’m usually wary of greens because they can be grassy or astringent, but I actually thought this was a white tea when I first sipped it. It reminds me a lot of silver needle whites.

Steep one was very sweet, peachy, the tea base was lighter but very smooth. I appreciate the natural peach flavour, it is extremely accurate. It is one of the best peach flavoured teas I’ve tried to date.

Second steep more tea flavour, but it isn’t vegetal at all. Lots of tannins, but no hints of bitterness or anything unpleasant. The base is a bit sweet and a bit creamy. It goes really well with the peach flavouring.

Third steep is like the second, but the tea flavour is a little more sharp. Still no bitterness though.

Flavors: Creamy, Fruity, Peach, Smooth, Sweet, Tannin, Tea

Bio

I am a biochem major hoping for a career in research genetics and evolutionary biology. I love science fiction and spend too much of my time reading comic books. I’m a passionate keeper of spiders, cacti, and exotic plants. I eat a vegan, plant-based diet for moral and environmental reasons (I mention this only because it is relevant to which flavoured teas I drink).

I drink mostly flavoured and low caffeine teas/tisanes, but I will try anything twice. As far as pure teas go, I gravitate towards whites, yellows, and jade oolongs. I’m always open for trades and sample sales/exchanges. Message me any time :)

My cupboard is mostly up to date. For a more comprehensive list, see my stash spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-HjWKR3um-xEnj6HC9vMvKXOAyj_bpW5u_2ixEC20-k/edit?usp=sharing
