Somewhat pleasant experience. Great selection of teas. I thought the teapots were so small. Not a lot of food for the price. I wouldn’t call this an elegant tea room, kind of felt like a coffee house for tea. The selection of teas is by far the best thing about this place.
Professional, clean, elegant, charming. All food is made FRESH to order and presented with class on Lady Hamilton fine bone china. After being seated one of the personable servers arrives to your table with a cart filled with small jars of every tea selection on their menu. You can smell the tea you may be interested in having. Important I think for those that delight in using all of their senses. One of the things I enjoy most about this tea house is that you are not rushed through your experience. I would recommend however to book an earlier time if you plan to be there for 2-3 hours. Also delightul if you’re a fan of scones, their scones are hot when they bring them to your table, and they have another cart with crystal bowls filled with several different types of jam for you to choose from. A majority of their teas are from the Metropolitan Tea Company. If you want a tried and true “English Breakfast” tea go with the Yorkshire Harrogate, and ask for them to make it strong otherwise their black teas tend to be brewed on the lighter side.
