I was surprised to see this not already on Steepster so I had to add it!
This tea is simply a blend of Teatulia’s Black tea and Tulsi or ‘Holy Basil’.
So simple but quite complex. The smell is hard for me to place, it really just smells like tea in a garden on a warm day. The thing I enjoy most about it is none of the flavors overshadow one another, they simple synchronize so perfectly they create there own flavor. Very smooth with a bold mouth feel and hints of subtle spice and non-sugary sweetness playing on the tip of the tongue. I really wish I could explain it more in depth but I haven’t quite had enough time to fully explore the complexity myself. Tulsi itself is an extremely religious plant and is an important plant in Ayurvedic medicine as a component for longevity and as a remedy for the cold as a painkiller a stomach soother and much more. It is high in antioxidants and known for being able to reduce blood glucose and cholesterol levels as well as aid the treatment of some poisons! Really fascinating stuff indeed, If you are interested in the health properties, religious aspects or just feeling like something a little different I definitely reccomend this!

Quite a nice every day all day tea. The leaves smell great, slightly grassy but not like lawn clippings more grassy and wet in a sense that gives a feeling of walking through a wet forest or in the hills after a rainfall, lovely. Steeping it smells just like wet earth and brews into an extremely light almost rain-water looking cup. I don’t know what it is about this tea and the rain maybe a placebo effect of the description but it’s exactly how it looks and smells. For such a light tea it has a great flavor, very light green vegetal taste and I definitely get a hint of bamboo shoots and more maybe wet leaf but in a great way taste.
Overall this is definitely nice enough to brew a pot up and just enjoy throughout a whole day.

Winter cupboard staple.
Feels a little watery this evening even at 5 mins but still strong enough to slap me awake and hearty enough to warm me up on a frighteningly chilly mid-western night.
Certainly one of my few bagged go-to’s especially during these seemingly arctic months.
Taken without milk and only a touch of honey.

drank Mint Verbena by Harney & Sons

Currently in tea fiend mode as I nearly inhaled a pot of gunpowder and realizing the time felt I should switch to something with no caffeine…anyways picked a couple packets (:o ) of this up at the Museum of Art a couple of days back and hadn’t tried it yet.
I am a thorough lover and mint but still don’t like any one scent overpowering a brew that should be working together, which this does, beautifully. Refreshing and invigorating, weird how that works but I couldn’t be happier with it! The taste is very clean and cool and like the smell neither taste completely dominates although mint gladly takes front role as always but is nice enough to let the verbena get some cheery notes through the finish…bliss.
Just what I needed right now,it’s definitely able to be enjoyed all day long as well I’m sure.
This also seems like a perfect companion for almost any tea,a nice delicate white,a grassy green or a solid black!
Looking forward to purchasing more.

Ah chai, you’ve been butchered and re-blended countless times by countless companies.
Most are miss, some are hit and theres a handful of what the..
Well teavana has not exactly done you justice but they have blended a decent brew with enough of certain spices to label it chai.
I must admit it is too sweet for my liking though. The mate flavor is completely overshadowed but the spices/fruit work in harmony here and also make an incredible aroma in-tin and brewing.
If you have tried chai but were put off by the spices and wanted to try something a little more balanced than this tea should do wonders for your tastebuds.
Overall this is a pleasantly light yet sweet and energizing brew to enjoy every other day or so or just whenever you need a sweet kick.

My absolute favorite earl grey. The bergamot is far from over powering and all in all it is a well put together tea that is quite smooth and perfect for a chilly afternoon. Harney and sons is always quality and this tea does nothing to make one think differently, they win again.
