34 Tasting Notes
I love coconut so I had to try this tea! This is the first coconut tea I have ever tried and while it is a delicious tea, I was hoping for a more pronounced coconut flavor. This is definitely a lovely dessert tea and I will certainly finish the bag, but my quest for a coconut tea will continue.
This is one of my very favorite teas! I drink this at least every few days and try to always keep some on hand. I made some of this in my tumbler and took it to work with me this morning. It takes more than the recommended 1.5 teaspoons to get the flavor as strong as I want, and in my 14 oz tumbler I usually use 4 tsps and steep it for 8 minutes but it’s worth using the extra tea. It’s the perfect blend of citrus and herbs and this is the loose leaf tea that made me fall in love with tea, and I am still currently obsessed with it, and will probably always feel like I need to have some in my cupboard. This is a great caffeine free tisane that I enjoy frequently!
I got this in my latest online order from Teavana, and I am not crazy about it. I had some last night and added some half and half to it to make it seem more dessert-y, but it just did not seem to help. I steeped this for about 10 minutes and it just does not seem to have a strong chocolate or citrus flavor, it just seems very thin. Definitely not my favorite dessert tea. This might be because I am comparing it to Teavana’s Mudslide, which seemed to have a much fuller flavor. Maybe next time I drink this I will try mixing it with some Vanilla Honeybush and see if that helps.
One of the best coconut flavours I’ve had so far is the one in Lupicia’s pineapple oolong. I don’t know if they make an all-coconut tea, but it might be worth a try.
I will have to check it out!! Thanks for the tip :)
