I’d been told of a tea shop in downtown Toronto’s Chinatown which was no longer there. It was a complete fluke that I found this now transported shop hidden on the second floor of a mall. The older gentleman in the shop was very helpful and I’ve purchased some tea to taste test its quality. The shop was small but had what I needed. I found their online store as well, but was disappointed that the online presence does not provide fuller descriptions or tasting notes about the different teas they sell.

I accidentally came upon this shop when I was on vacation and was so impressed. The staff person (one of the co-owners?) was very friendly and knowledgeable. Also, the selection of tea was amazing! I’m a big fan of black teas and was impressed that they had about five different types of Assam. I’ve been to a lot of tea stores and have never seen one with so many varieties of Assam. Of course I bought some of each and they are all lovely. They also have an online ordering option, which I haven’t tried yet. I would highly recommend this gem!

I’m an Archivist who is addicted to tea. I love tea—it always improves my mood. My preference is for straight black teas though there is the occasional flavoured black tea that gets me smiling. These days I’m exploring Chinese tea and gongfu cha.
