694 Tasting Notes
I am making this at work this morning. This is a really soft tea. Wisps of cinnamon, and vanilla and a light black base. I like it. It seems very fancy. I think the flavors blend very well together. For me I am left wanting just a little more umph in the base…. maybe a tad bit from a bit of added assam? A great tea to start the morning on a positive note.
This is my first order from the new 52 teas and I am way impressed! It will not be my last order. The flavor profiles that I keep seeing each week make me really long for a subscription. Maybe a treat this fall!
This was my morning cup at the B&B this morning. I am use to getting up at 4:30am with the youngest so my idea of sleeping in late is well not my friends idea of sleeping in. So I got up and enjoyed some quiet time, a book and this cup.
This is a very soft version of EG. I enjoyed this. Nothing mind blowing, but pretty damn good. I would love to get my hands on the loose leaf version some day to give it a try.
52teas ordered today and this was the first one I tore into. It is one of the teas that I was most excited about. The combination is so unique that I just had to try this. Rose, cinnamon, and vanilla. I mean, how amazing and fancy does that sound? So…… I enjoyed this but it was little thinner mouth feel than I was expecting. The flavor was good. I mostly got vanilla and cinnamon. I am taking this one to work to see how it holds up there……
My 52 Teas order arrived Saturday! Woot Woot. It arrived while I was away on a mommy getaway. Yep, my husband surprised me with a girls trip. 24 full hours away from the rugrats. I love them dearly, but it was so nice to be an adult and one of the girls again. It was a scavenger hunt that took us out to lunch, a winery, and to a B&B. Gotta love these husbands of ours!
So this tea….. OMG I love it! I have been rocking the chai this winter and this one was amazing. I loved the spices and the little something extra in here that made it taste very eggnog like. I wish I would have known I was going to love it so, I would have ordered the large size.
In Celebration of the upcoming A&D order I am drinking a cup of this. It also fits the dreary weather we are having here in KC today. This cup always amazes me. and always reminds me to never judge a tea 100% by the sent of the leaf. This is so much sweeter than the sniffer lets on.
In other news, my hot water spout at work was replaced. I have really come to like a lot of my black teas at a lower than normal temp….. now the water is coming out damn near boiling. I am going to have to readjust a tad bit.

Milk oolong is the tea that truly got me into loose leaf tea. A friend of mine brewed a cup of Gong Fu Tea’s milk oolong and I was hooked. I started looking into tea types, and started ordering things. I found steepster and Butiki and it just snowballed from their. So….. I love this tea. It is not only good, milky smooth, yummy, but every time I drink it, it brings happy memories.
I took a sip…. hmm this is different. I took another sip….. hmm this is good. I took yet another sip……. okay, time to sit and sip and ignore work for 5 mins.
This is a get you in the right mood kinda tea. This is an awesome combination. Assam, berg, and eucalyptus. I do not get any of the blueberry other than to see the cute little blueberries in the tea. Nicely blended and rounded flavor. This tea has taken some of the stress out of my day! Another blend I am digging from AQTT.

The smell of this tea was amazing. It made me think I was going to me drinking some awesome coffee flavor, but the taste just didn’t sit right with me. It is old, I will give it that, but meh. Not a fan.
