570 Tasting Notes
This time tried it blended with the Yunnan Golden Buds, and it did tamper down the more intense spice aspects of it. Still tasted overwhelmingly like gingerbread cookies (yum!) but without the burning after-effects of drinking this straight. Still cleared the ol’ sinuses right out. I do enjoy this in small doses, but I don’t think I’ll be reordering this particular blend.
Preparation
I will fully admit. I only got a cup of tea from McD’s today because their new coffee cake muffins are divine, and tea and muffin is only $0.20 more than just a muffin.
Preparation
I don’t think I gave this one a fair shake last time I tried it. I was only kinda meh on the experience, but I think I might have scorched it or something, because this time around it was delicious! A very full Earl flavour that isn’t too sweet and works well with the smoky green base.
Preparation
So I did my usual Thermos-and-travel-mug thing for work today, but forgot the travel mug, so I stopped at McD’s for a muffin and large Earl Grey, so I could have something to drink out of for the rest of the day. And, besides, I enjoy the Higgins & Burke Earl. I finished my large H&B, and then refilled my cup with this Oolong Earl.
It was like going from one of those “chocolate flavoured confections” you get half-price after Easter, to a real Lindt bunny.
I am in love with the Red Leaf Earls. There is nothing like them for depth of flavour. A two minute steep and hours later, it still knocked my over with scent and flavour.
Preparation
This is like drinking a gingerbread cookie laced with hot sauce. It’s amazing. Clearing my sinuses out entirely. It is a really intense cup, but balanced out with a light, sweet black it could be perfect.
Preparation
Yes! Had some more of this. It was just as delicious the second time, if not moreso. Added just a touch of honey so I can confirm that yes, a lot of the sweet honey flavour is from the tea itself. Now I just need to get my hands on some of my own. This is by far the best bagged green I’ve ever had.
