1113 Tasting Notes

This tea needs to be bathed in RedBull blue edition and dried out before I drink it again. Brews a weak cup that smells good and leaves your mouth wondering why your nose is happier than itself.

The vanilla in this earl grey must have ran away because I didn’t find it :/
As for an earl grey it is decent, but I wanted that creme!

DO NOT HAVE THIS TEA OUT IN YOUR CAR as it looks like marijuana.
I got to enjoy this tea with a friend when we took a trip to Niagara Falls and we laughed when we opened this because it does not look like tea… this osmanthus blossom oolong is quite nice but it does loose some points because it brewed a bit dry and wasn’t as strong as I desired even doubling the normal amount.

While the mixture of this tea sounds like too much going on I decided to buy it anyways because how can anyone mess up an oolong and still be able to produce and sell it in stores?
Well, there is far too much in this tea. I believe that removing the chocolate powder and cranberries would increase its flavor. I am not opposed to chocolate being mixed with oolong but this just was not done in a way that turns into a cup of enjoyment, rather this tea is a cup of ‘I wonder how a good chocolate berry oolong would taste?’

This is one of those teas that I disliked so much that I threw it away. The ‘pu erh’ in this tea is equivalent to tea pulled out of the Boston Harbor from a few hundred years ago and dried with some hay… if I knew others liked this I could of made their days by saying “I guess my trash is your treasure” (in a nice way of course)

As white tea is mild it is important to remember what is being added to understand what flavor will be produced. A strawberry white tea sounds nice, but the addition of rose petals (which contributes more flavor than the strawberry ) drags this tea down. Rose petals in this tea just doesn’t work and it’s sad that it ruins the tea- just one ingredient…

Sencha and I have been friends for awhile but I don’t think I’ve met the Himalayan sencha prior to this. Unfortunately this is nothing like a green vegetable tasting sencha that would be defined as prized. It might be because of the area it comes from, but regardless this tea is a bit dry and not on the same level as other senchas that I have tried. The color of the leaf and liquor is also off which doesn’t attribute to any scoring but it proves to indicate to flavor as well for this tea.

This was not one of the better green Darjeelings that Teabox offers. This green tea just doesn’t stand out with any sweet or smoky undertones, as for floral notes its too mild to really comment on- it’s more like a green tea that you brewed few times but still has the tea taste (if you know what I mean)

This tea looked broken up which was sad, however the taste was quite pleasant. I really enjoy the undertone of lemon in this tea as it is already a light tasting tea it accented it quite nicely.

This is one strong tasting tea…
You have to make sure you like basil teas before you drink this for sure. I am not a fan of this mixture so I will not grade it so harshly since I cannot comment on the quality due to my dislike of the taste.
