This is one of my FAVORITE on-the-run go to tea’s. I can always find it at Whole Foods and even a couple of local deli’s carry it. Pearfect White Tea is cool and crisp and light, with, as they say on the bottle “a tad” of sweetness. For me, it’s just enough as I don’t like my tea too sweet.

I was in Chicago over Fourth of July and saw a TeaGschwendner shop while my mom and I were on our way to a party and of course I stopped :-). (Okay, I squealed “TEA!” and made two u-turns and went around the block twice to get back to the shop and find parking. Whatever. :-)) I bought O’Sullivan’s Favorite as well as a couple of others. I was a little surprised by the look of the tea, it looks like the tea leaves have been oxidized to death, leaving behind what almost looks like coffee grounds. And, as a matter of fact, I would totally recommend this boldly flavored tea to anyone trying to kick the coffee habit and I plan to get several coffee drinking friends to try this tea!

As I said, this is a boldly flavored tea that’s very strong. I loved the dark burgandy color of the tea at full steep, as a matter of fact, this tea greatly resembles the liqueur in color. This tea is a lot stronger than my normal Earl Grey’s and herbals, so I had to add sugar and some milk to fully enjoy it. Once I tried it hot and discovered how strong it was, I made it in the afternoon as an iced tea. Love it iced! The rich bold flavor gave me a very hardy tea that held up to ice and was completely refreshing during the hot and humid days we’re having around here. I’m definitely going to order more!

Trés yummy tea!!! The chocolate on the nose is rich and dark and the strawberry swirls in and completes everything. I save this tea for when I need a chocolatey treat but I’m trying to cut back on the calories because it’s so good even without sugar or other sweetener. Sigh…so good!!

I liked this tea, and I’m not usually a big fan of Gunpowder teas, but this one was light and smooth, had a nice somewhat nutty flavor and brewed up into a pretty light green color. The pellets were tight, smooth, and shiny and unfurled into full, large leaves. I had this tea during a lull in my afternoon when I needed a bit of a break and this was the perfect complement. I was able to enjoy the flavor and then get back to my day. :-)

Perfect tea for nights like tonight when I’m too tired to sleep. Come on Sleepy Time and help my brain shut down!

Okay, I just flat out love this tea. I so much prefer spearmint to peppermint, so right away I’m a fan. Plus the hints of lemon grass just brighten the taste. Hot or iced or left on my desk all day while I sip away – love it!

So, I decided to have some of this tea the other day and made a fascinating discovery. The first steep was still a bit charcoal-y on the backend. However, I used the same tea bag (mostly because I was being thrifty) and made a second cup of tea, and guess what !?

No more charcoal on the back end!

The second steep was smooth and had all of the flavor and none of what I didn’t like. I highly recommend trying a second steep of the same tea bag if you’re a bit turned off by some of the backend on the first steep.

LOVE This tea!! The chocolate tastes dark and yummy and the tea finishes with the strawberry notes. Just lovely. I made it with just a bit of sugar for the first cup and loved it. It was like a chocolate covered strawberry in a cup :-). For my second cup, I added a bit more sugar and some non-fat milk and truly amped up the scrumtiousness. If you’re looking for dessert in a cup – this is it. The addition of milk created a lusciously creamy chocolate-y drink that was just perfect. Oh so good!!

Suzi, I picked this tea up at the Santa Clara Lupicia, too, just last week. I bought the tea bags instead of the loose leaf because I was traveling. This is the first time I’ve purchased the Lupicia tea bags and I’m very impressed by them. Great tea bags.

Ok, on to the tea. This is a luscious smelling tea. The wine notes just come out of the bag and grab your nose. No, really, the fragrance of this tea is just fantastic.

Unfortunately, the taste is a bit off for me. There’s a chance I over-steeped, but this tea has a funny bite at the end of the taste that I’m not a huge fan of. I also didn’t sweeten the tea and I think I would like it much more if I added a bit of honey. Overall, I’ll drink this again, but I’ll definitely add sweetener.

I’m a tea drinker and tea lover and I start every day with a cup, and usually end it with a cup, too. And by “cup”, I really mean “bowl with a handle” lol. I’m always on the lookout for new teas, and, because I live in the South where we get really hot and humid summers, I’m always on the look out for a good ice tea, too.

I’m also a single mom, although my one and only chick has gone off to college, and I run my own consulting business. For the last couple of years, I’ve also been a blogger and about six month ago decided to see if I could turn it into a business. Everything you read about blogging as a business says to pick something you love, so I picked tea! I’m having a great time with that because I now I can buy all the tea I want guilt free!
