Backlog:

I had my misgivings about the combination of cranberry and lemon together. Sure, I like cranberry teas, and I like lemon teas. But usually when I see a cranberry and citrus fruit tea, it’s usually paired with orange and that’s just fine with me because the orange is sweet and helps soften the tartness of the cranberry. But lemon is a tart fruit. Cranberry is a tart fruit. This just sounds TART.

It’s alright. Not my favorite tea from Boston Tea but it’s alright. I enjoyed it. I believe the black tea base here saves this, because it’s a smooth, robust black tea and the sweet notes of the malt notes help soften the tartier flavors (yes, tartier is a word even though my computer wants to put that wavy red line under it to indicate that I misspelled something. It’s a word because I just decided it was.) And the boldness of the black tea helps take some of the taste buds’ attention off of the fact that we’re dealing with two tart fruits in this blend.

A pleasant tea. I’d drink it again if it was offered to me, but it’s probably not one that I’d seek out and purchase for myself.

The reason I’m no longer writing for SororiTea Sisters is because I am now the Mad Tea Artist for 52Teas:

I’ll still be posting occasional reviews on teas here on Steepster, mostly backlogged reviews because I’m way behind on getting reviews posted. That’s why I’m keeping two accounts active at the current time – so that I can get those backlogged reviews posted.

My favorite teas are Yellow Teas with most Oolong teas at a close second. As far as “flavored” teas go, I love Earl Grey, Chocolate and Jasmine teas.

I also am intrigued by flavored teas with an unusual or unique flavor combination, which is why I was very excited to be the Mad Tea Artist of 52Teas!
