I’ve had this one mixed with their Strawberry Lemonade Herbal and loved it. Decided I needed to see how it was on its own too.
The dry leaf smells very citrus-y. I think I am getting grapefruit and orange. I absolutely love the color of this as it poured into my cup! It mostly tastes like strawberry with a good hint of citrus, I’m thinking the grapefruit. The addition of a sweetener seems to deepen the flavors, making it an even more enjoyable cup. I really like this in the Winterberry Blend, iced and hot, but I think I like it on it’s own just as much. I know that Teavana gets a bad rap around here but I am finding a few that I really enjoy!

This is one of my favorite teas! I went through about an ounce in a week when I first got it. So fruity and tasty!
Sundaysipping – How do you store it? Is this one of the ones that I have to be careful about what kind of tin it is in due to the citrus?
I actually don’t know. I use 12oz mason jars to store my tea — they keep air out beautifully, can be thrown into the dishwasher (which gets any lingering odors out), and I keep them in a cabinet so I’m not worried about light exposure. The Teavana tins do a great job of preventing aroma-leakage, but I found them expensive and extremely difficult to de-scent once I’d used up the tea they were holding.
I guess because it’s a tea with grapefruit it in it could require one of the citrus-friendly Teavana tins.
I tried Winterberry in store yesterday and it was super tasty but intensely sweet. I’m really curious about all the teas they have but I’ve had bad luck with so many (and a few really amazing winners), that it’s really hard to want to pick up 50g in one shot.

Thanks :)
Hope it helps! :-)

If there are ones in my cupboard you are interested in, I could send them your way so you can try them without investing in a whole 50g.
