The tea it makes is pretty dark for a green tea, it tasted kinda grassy with a bit of astringent bitterness at the beginning. I’m not sure if the latter is because I steeped it too long (4 min) or if the water I used was too hot. This is another one I want to play around with before I can say if I like it or not, but as of right now I’m not really feeling the love.

The Lapsang Souchong mixed in gives it a hint of smokiness in its scent and taste but it’s not so overwhelming that the smoke is all you get. It tasted very smooth and it went very well with a bit of skim milk.

I tried it with boiling water this time instead of just steaming water and it brings out the ‘toasty’ notes in the tea’s description.

drank Mango Passionfruit by Stash Tea

I couldn’t really taste any mango or passion fruit distinctly – mostly all I could taste was the safflower (which isn’t unpleasent mind you). I might just need to steep it longer so I’ll reserve judgement until then.

OMG I love it! The tea was wonderfully fragrant and the taste was just the right balance of flavours. It was hard to see the pearls ‘unfurl’ inside the sachet – this one might be better as a loose tea just for that reason.

The first oolong tea I’ve tasted, it’s from a nice tea-and-herb shop in the (very) small town of Creston, B.C. The tea is slightly fruity and it tastes like a cross between black and green tea without the harshness of either one. Definitely a get-again.

drank Chamomile Citrus by Mighty Leaf Tea

The flavour is very nice and light, an interesting variation on the basic chamomile tea. It was nice on my poor, sore stomach after I’d been sick for awhile.

Bio

I’m a university student in her twenties who’s currently working her way toward a Bachelor of Natural Resource Science degree. I love both science and science-fiction and I’m a history nut on top of that. Maybe I should just call myself a nerd and leave it there. ;)

I’ve been drinking tea since I was young but it’s only in the past couple years that I’ve become interested in the good-quality stuff.
