This tea used to be my favorite but now that I’ve tasted the really good quality stuff I’m not as enamoured with it. The mix of green teas tends to get very bitter very easily and the strawberry flavour could stand to be a bit stronger. It’s still much better than the bagged stuff, and the flavour of the Genmaicha is particularly prominent.

Not really thrilled with this one. The label says it’s supposed to be mango-flavoured but really all it tastes like is cheap quality black tea with some perfume added to it. I’ll finish the bag I got, but after that I think I’ll pass.

Naturally sweet and slightly fruity-tasting, the tea isn’t overwhelmed by the flavour of the rooibos.

Goes good with a splash of skim milk. A good, pleasent cup of tea to wake up to in the morning.

drank Mate by Blue Teapot

This is my second time sampling yerba mate and it tastes…green (though not unpleasently so) and there’s a hint of nuttiness. It doesn’t give me the energy jolt that a black tea would, but this late in the day that’s probably a good thing. I don’t have much experience drinking yerba mate but this one seems pretty decent to me.

Second steeping for this one. I put it in the fridge overnight and had ice tea (unsweetened, for once) to drink this morning. It goes very well with something sweet-tasting like a cinnamon bun.

A very fresh-tasting cold drink with the sweet (but not too sweet) taste of honeydew melon.

Mmm, I love the smell of jasmine tea. This one was nice even if the Harney & Sons one is still my favorite.

drank Decaf Earl Grey by Stash Tea

The black teas used in this earl grey are a bit too harsh for me to drink it without milk, but other than that it wasn’t bad. The bergamot flavouring was fairly weak and the overall taste nothing special. A decent tea, but not one I’d write home about.

I like this one. I bought it after seeing how popular it was here and I don’t regret it. It’s light and gentle enough to drink without milk (although I would like to try it with aswell) and the hint of extra citrus is very refreshing.

I’m a university student in her twenties who’s currently working her way toward a Bachelor of Natural Resource Science degree. I love both science and science-fiction and I’m a history nut on top of that. Maybe I should just call myself a nerd and leave it there. ;)

I’ve been drinking tea since I was young but it’s only in the past couple years that I’ve become interested in the good-quality stuff.
