14 Tasting Notes
I thought this was just a plain green when i purchaed it. The loose leaf bag says “Organic Green” on it. I quickly realized there was more going on. You can really taste the gingko. If you haven’t had straight gingko tea before this might be an unusual herbal flavour. I consider this more of a herbal blend than a green tea. It looks like half lemongrass and gingko and half green tea.
Strawberry/Fruity green tea is my favourite. Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf makes my all time favourite (previously reviewed) but they no longer ship to Canada. At all. I couldn’t even ship some to my sister in laws in the States as i needed to order with an American credit card…
Anyway, i read the hype about Kusmi and decided that this tea was the best alternative and i NEEDED it.
I wanted to love this tea so much but to me it tastes like kitchen spices… As if someone accidentally added basil…or its been sitting in a spice cupboard beside curry powder. I’m on cup three…but it just isnt my thing.
Maybe i’m not refined enough :) i like my big American sized tea bags with lots of flavouring and perfume…ha!
This tea is super smooth. The smoothest Earl Grey i have tried. It doesnt take like tea and bergamot, the flaourbtravels together.
I got this as a sample in a Harney order. I may need more.
A great basic. Sometimes the flavoured black teas by Harney are too overpowering.
Flavors: Bergamot, Cream
Another Harney review for me, im on a kick. This tea definitely goes in the Paris, Victorian London Fog grouping. Paris is a bit more floral, Tower of London is sweet and caramel and to me Victorian London Fog is vanilla. All heavily fragranced and flavoured and im into that right now. Glugs of Silk coconut. 2pm in my office with a square of dark chocolate… basically daily.
I got this as a Christmas gift from my sister in law while we were in Hawaii. Tropical but more savory than Mighty Leafs tropical green tea. I like a strong bitter green and i found this too soft with coconut and lemon grass.
Certainly an interesting and unique green blend. Reminds me of mango coconut sticky rice.
