34 Tasting Notes
This time, unlike last time, I used a lot more tea and it definitely improved it. However, it still tasted like nice black tea with a slightly sweet peppermint aftertaste. At the same time, I’m ok with this. At least I can drink it now and not be so disappointed. Just don’t expect an actual candy cane flavor.
Preparation
I wasn’t impressed by this tea. I picked it up in a rush just because I wanted to try something new and the Rishi chai tea I had tried blew me away so I figured this should be good too. And it is good, but it simply isn’t for me. I really don’t know what I was expecting as I’m not really into berry flavored anything but I expected more out of this. If you truly enjoy berry tea that, well, actually tastes like berries, then this is for you. But me? I needed to add milk and sugar to get it to taste better.
Preparation
This tea certainly tasted sweet, but it lacked body. I love black teas so this herbal tea really didn’t impress me. It’s more of a tea I would share with my family who are used to sugar pop and the like, with dessert or sweet things. But on its own? Probably not.
Preparation
First time tasting an oolong and it was…interesting. The leaves smelled good, a bit grassy but good. The tea itself was ok, a bit of sweetness which was good but I just didn’t warm up to grassyness of the flavor. I may try it again with less leaves but I don’t know.
Preparation
I was really excited to try out this tea. The description made it sound great and the smell when you opened the tin was phenomenal. But after following the directions word for word, it simply did not meet expectations. It smells great after and during steeping, but the first sip starts with apple tones and finishes with bitterness. It may have just been that I shouldn’t have followed the directions word for word and I will experiment more before I put this into the pile to be exchanged.
