drank Chai Tea by Tim Hortons

While I’ve pretty much converted to loose leaf, I do have to admit that this is one of my favourite bagged teas and definitely my go to when I hit up Timmies (which is almost every Saturday as work is right across the street). Its got a nice depth of flavour for a bagged tea and tastes very good with milk and sugar!

Alright so I’m two sips in…and I decided to write a note. The kettle was almost boiling, not sure what water temperature it was at – didn’t check. I took the note from a few people about steeping a little longer and waited about 5-6 minutes and wow does it have some kick to it. Definitely tastes like hot lips or if you stuffed your mouth with cinnamon hearts. Absolutely delightful tea, I’m going to have to stock up before this one runs out! Doesn’t have the same heady smell when steeped that it does when you open the bag with the dried leaves, however it tastes wonderful. As far as smells go I suppose I’m used to my two chocolate teas that I’ve been drinking all week. This is definitely one of my favourites and is starting to nudge Cinnamon Heart into second place for my cinnamon teas. I still need to try the Cinnamon Rooibus that Davids has.

drank Read My Lips by DAVIDsTEA

I’m a fan of the Chili Chocolate Chai that Davids Tea came out with and under a recommendation from a friend decided to try Read My Lips. Its definitely a good chocolate tea with a nice strong hint of mint, hands down one of my new favourites. Its a definite must have for the chocolate-mint lovers out there and a great tea to drink if you’ve got a slight chocolate addiction like I do. No need to add any sweeteners, I find it plenty sweet on its own and unlike some of the other tea blends I have I found it doesn’t get overly bitter if you steep it too long. This has been my go-to tea for the past few mornings, next on my menu is to try out the Hot Lips tea – may try it after I finish my cup of this one.

If any of you have suggestions on similar blends I’m more than open to them. I like this one though its a nice chocolate blend, and smells absolutely delicious. I find it really smells like chocolate-mint.

Bought on a whim and after a suggestion from a friend and I gotta say I love it. Took it to class today and it was exactly what I needed to get through the day. The first few sips have quite a bit of kick to them, but after that it mellows out and is quite tasty. Definitely one I will have to pick up 100 g of before its gone as I’m fairly certain its a winter tea.

EDIT: Bought more today, picked up February’s tea of the month: Hot Lips…so I’m pretty excited to try it!

Lovely tea, very nice and floral. I’m pretty new to the loose leaf teas but this is a really good floral tea. I didn’t expect to like it as much as I do, but I had to go back to Davids and buy more after I went through my sample quickly. You do need to be careful about steeping as it does have a fine line between sweet and bitter. Good morning tea though!

Hello, I’m a 23 year old veterinary student who has recently gotten addicted to tea. I have my room mate to thank for my new addiction! I’m a particularly large fan of black teas, especially of a chocolate or cinnamon blend however have now found that some floral teas work quite nicely for me.
