drank Chamomile Nights by Stash Tea

An excellent relaxing bedtime tea. I find the spearmint gives the chamomile a little more interest, but not so much that you don’t want to go to bed.

One of my favorite examples of Moroccan Mint (green and mint). A perfect blend.

drank Holiday Chai by Stash Tea

Distinctly weaker than other Stash chais. Come on, the holidays is a time for MORE of an explosion of flavor, not less! That said, I’m not sure how to do a holiday chai since regular chai has so many typically “holiday” flavors (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.) I’ll stick with Stash’s Double Spice Chai.

I usually like green and mint combinations, but this one had a distinctly toothpastey mint flavor (the wintergreen maybe).

I like the green/spearmint/lemongrass combination; this is a good tea in sachets or full-leaf but tends to be weak in bags.

The usually light and fresh green/spearmint/lemongrass combo has a strange bitter, licoricey aftertaste – is this the cat’s claw root or kombucha? Not my cup of tea. It’s also on the weak side.

drank Chai Green by Stash Tea

This is decent—I like both chai and green—but I didn’t feel two flavors blended particularly well into something new. It’s also hard to be in the right mood. When I want chai, I want something spicy and exciting; when I want green, I want something mellow and peaceful.

drank Licorice Spice by Stash Tea

I’m sure this is a fine example of licorice tea, but I just don’t like the concept. I’m not a licorice hater—I like the candy in moderation—but I cannot do it in tea form.

I’m a big fan of Moroccan Mint, the green/mint blend which to me tastes like an alien but amazing version of peppermint. Stash’s is a little on the weak side but still delicious especially with a bit of honey or the teeniest sprinkle of sugar.

What do you want? It’s peppermint. I love peppermint, especially when I’m feeling frail or sick or sleepy or dehydrated (since it’s basically just hot flavored water), and this totally fulfills my needs. It’s not as strong as Harney’s peppermint but when I’m in a peppermint mood, I don’t want something overpowering. I used to use this as a daily post-workout pick-me-up with a sprinkle of sugar and a yogurt accompaniment.
