I steeped this tea for 7-8 minutes and I think it is a perfect steeping duration. It is a perfect mix of lemon and ginger in nose and flavor. It is a very warming herbal tea (due to ginger) and tastes light on the front end (for this steeping time) and has heavy flavor on the back end. I drink this tea with a bit of stevia, which makes it a perfect nighttime treat. I’ll probably keep this steeping time. I usually go with a little less time (about 5 min.). Upping it was definitely the way to go.

Anthropology geek. I love tea, of course. I’m in my 30s and live with 2 fat cats and a giant of a man in Northwest GA.

In tea, I prefer loose teas of all kinds. I really like Oolong and Darjeeling (black). Although I prefer loose teas and they were all I drank for years, I now drink and own a lot of packaged teas due to convenience and find that many of them are really good. You will probably see me review many more packaged teas due to this. I’m hoping to go on a loose tea shopping spree sometime soon.

One of my favorite things is to go to tea houses, whether they be Victorian or Asian style. If you have any suggestions on great ones, I’m open.

I really like to grow bunches of things and write about it (see url below).
