I’ve always loved the New Moon Gallery, so I was very excited when they added a tea room. I have to say I was a bit disappointed, but only slightly. The tea was good and the atmosphere was relaxing. However, when ordering, there was a lot of confusion. It seems they are trying to work out the kinks of the new addition. I almost gave this a 3 rating, but the girl behind the counter was new… I think. If she wasn’t, I would be worried. I got the Matcha and it was okay, but a little too astringent for my taste. I did purchase a few ounces of the Peach Roobios that the manager(?) suggested (although I asked for a basic green tea suggestion. i ignored the misunderstanding because he sounded like he knew what he was talking about – plus, he had a lot to deal with at the time.) Anyway, the roobios has been very good and I would give the tea room a second chance. Hopefully, the kinks will be worked out soon.

We went here when we were visiting San Francisco. Loved the tea and the staff were very helpful. The atmosphere was quiet, but a little TOO quiet for my taste. There wasn’t much ambiance, but we had a great time resting there with tea after walking all over SF. The best thing about this place is the knowledgeable staff. They answered our questions and showed us some different options for service. Very nice place.

**Oh, I should add that we went to the Ferry Building Tea House location and had the Gaiwan Tea Presentation.

I went here all of the time when I lived in Seattle (Wallingford). This is the tea house that I have been longing for since I left back in ’98. Knowledgeable staff, great atmosphere, and great tea (prepared well, too). If you are in Seattle, go here if you have a chance.

I love the English Rose Tea Room. The food is wonderful and rich. They serve PG tips, which I love, but there aren’t many other tea options. They do have a great selection of teas and tea accessories in their shop.

I went here with my best friend for a friendship tea. They actually didn’t serve tea at the luncheon, but the food was great and the people nice. I will rate again once I have their tea.

Anthropology geek. I love tea, of course. I’m in my 30s and live with 2 fat cats and a giant of a man in Northwest GA.

In tea, I prefer loose teas of all kinds. I really like Oolong and Darjeeling (black). Although I prefer loose teas and they were all I drank for years, I now drink and own a lot of packaged teas due to convenience and find that many of them are really good. You will probably see me review many more packaged teas due to this. I’m hoping to go on a loose tea shopping spree sometime soon.

One of my favorite things is to go to tea houses, whether they be Victorian or Asian style. If you have any suggestions on great ones, I’m open.

I really like to grow bunches of things and write about it (see url below).

Oh, and I love that this website exists.
