Chocolate Strawberry Flavored Black Tea

Finishing off the last that I have of this tea this morning. I do wish that the two flavors were better represented in this, but, it is still pretty tasty. I can taste the sweet-tartness of the strawberry, I can taste a creamy, rich note of chocolate… but both are light. The flavors do develop as I continue to sip though, which is nice.

It is a very tasty “wake up” tea.

Altho this had a pleasant aroma upon opening the package today, I could smell a hint of rubbing alcohol (underneath) tho…oh well…the taste was good! LOL

It was more chocolate tasting than strawberry – no certainly no complaints – it was yummy!

This tastes terrible and I am putting it into soil and not back into the traveling tea box. Time has not treated it well.

It tastes like perfume. Not in the floral way but that way when you accidentally spray a fruitier scent into/near your face and you happen to be breathing at the time.

I made a lot of tea last night and this morning, but this is the last of them! I cold-brewed this one for the bf, since strawberry and chocolate are some of his favorite flavors, though I am not a huge fan. I was worried that this would be weird cold, since, well… I’ve never had chocolate iced tea. Thankfully, it works pretty well! The strawberry isn’t that prominent (next time I’ll chop up some actual berries and add them), but the chocolate surprisingly is. At first it just tastes like a nice black iced tea with a hint of berry, and then at the end of the sip it’s quite chocolatey. Not heavy mouthfeel decadent chocolate, more light and airy. It’s pretty nice, but I’m not going to rate this one as it’s not my thing. Thankfully there’s someone in my house who loves it—and he’s a bit pickier about teas than I am sometimes, so it’s always nice when I find something that he loves!

I can’t wait to see all of the reviews for the teas I added to the box (and also for the teas in the traveling teabox that I’m starting — doesn’t matter if they be good or bad reviews)! I knew before I sipped this one that it wouldn’t be mindblowingly delicious, since I feel like what has became 52Teas rather than Zoomdweebies has improved over the years. There is a bit of a chocolate flavor here & not much strawberry, on a decent black tea. I actually expected less chocolate. But as time goes on, 52Teas will keep getting more and more amazing, as the blends are already amazing these days. I think I’ve called 52Teas wizards, magicians… or both in the past!

The packaging immediately caught my eye and I was wondering what in the world Zoombweebies was, so I looked it up to find that they also make 52teas who I keep seeing on steepster and have yet to try, so I’m happy to have a better idea now of their teas.

This tea smells pretty good and I can really smell the chocolate and strawberries.
Sweetened with german rock sugar. It’s really a step up from the usual black tea I drink. Interestingly I having a pleasant silky mouth feeling.. maybe that’s the chocolate oils?

I was actually wanting a chocolate tea and I’m quite satisfied now. I even brewed it twice and it was still nice. Enjoyed this tea during my forest studies. :)

Yikes! A rare miss. I didn’t get strawberry or chocolate from this. I will try different steep times and temps and hope it was just user error. Hope to report back with more positive results in the near future.
