When we first approached our manufacturing partner for the Factory Direct series, we wanted their top grade organic and non-organic matcha. The organic matcha became the G series, and the non-organic matcha became the C series. The numbers are relative to other products within the series, which means C1 actually has a much richer flavor than the organic G1.
