What? I never reviewed these? Unbelievable!
And this is a sip down :(
I’m kind of sad to see these go, as they are very convenient. I don’t go out to eat much, but they are pretty handy if you go out to breakfast because you can throw a few in your cup, or if you’re at a classier place that brings one of those cheapo Stainless steel thingies of hot water to your table you can throw some in there. They brew up a fruity but somehow earthy cup of goodness, and it’s also easy to remove the flower from your cup & re-use (although some leaves almost always fall off). They also look nice blooming in a glass cup, although I’ll have to admit that one is certainly not enough for a decent brew, IMO.

OK – I’m just having a morning of surprises – this one too is not at all what I was expecting.
I’ve had flowering cones before and none of them were anything like these.
First sip – wow caramel – second sip – fruity. If I didn’t know better I would almost think this was a flavored tea. Not malty at all, zero sweet potato (there is sweet but no starchiness). It’s not at all like any straight black tea I’ve had – it’s missing the “blackness”. Almost a little salty – I really want to say salted caramel with a hint of apricot (stone fruit anyway). These are really good – strange, but I like it.

Thank you so much Sil for another interesting experience. :)

terri sent these my way and i couldn’t find an entry in the database for them. So here’s hoping i didn’t create a duplicate. these are very sweet…and fruity and don’t have the least bit of that dark black tea taste that i love about other flowering cones that i’ve had. that being said, these are quite delicious and even cold (i forgot about my tea) the brew is delicious to drink! thanks for letting me try another flowering cone terri!

Haveteawilltravel

Always wanted to try tea cones, look some interesting :)

Sil

i recommend the ones from mandala! :)

Haveteawilltravel

duly noted :)

These were tasty, although I don’t think I ever did get around to reviewing them, & I’ll have to agree, the ones from Mandala were better :)
I think I originally ordered them because Garret ran out of the others, & I wanted to see if they were the same.

Interesting these were milder than the Mandala ones? I found the Mandala ones milder than my Ali ones that can get super malty.

Sil

these were…fruitier? not really a malty tea… almost sweet/fruity?
