From Yunnan Craft

" Say good words , have a good thoughts , and do good deeds " written in Dai language on the wrapper of this purple varietal sheng puer cake made only in 5kg batch from 7 tea trees growing in forest. It’s not typical sweet aromatic high temp. kill green processed Zijuan from Jingmai but traditional one for ageing. Bitter and in certain stage astringent, yet with camomile and herbal notes.

Type Sheng Puerh
Tea Cake 200g
Origin Meng Hai
Tea Material Arbor tree ( Qiao Mu )
Year 2021
Season Spring
Batch March
Brand Yunnan Craft
Storage Kunming

Do not buy full cake unless you have tried a sample! We took this batch as an experiment , to see how it turns out in few years of Kunming storage. It is a special taste which might not please everyone , therefore sample first!

We recommend to go with low gram ratio and quick steeping time. Make very weak infusions first, in order to find from which point the bitterness starts to be uncomfortable for you.
Forest with purple varietal tea trees

Just a few tea trees planted years ago ( not Gushu ) in forest by our Zi Juan tea farmer as an experiment. Only seven small trees could make it and this year farmer managed to harvest around 24kg of fresh leaf and make 5kg dried sheng puerh.

Zi Juan – literally Purple Beauty , is a reputedly scarce purple-leaf Yunnan (云南) Da Ye (大叶) cultivar, high in Anthocyanin , which is a class of flavonoids, occurring in many plants, and lending a red or purple pigmentation to, among other things, autumn leaves; especially high in some tea cultivars and perhaps lending heightened florality to tea liquor made from those cultivars.
