My earl grey of the day. There is a nice bergamot scent, with some floral notes. The flavour is slightly sweet, and citrus. It is nice morning tea.

Had while listening to the new Tyr album.

3 heaping tsp loose tea

Original Bohemia thick, taller porcelain coffee cup: richer aroma than
thin Meissen asian wine cup

Simple (Ceylon?) note of later infusions, as with initial ones, became more pronounced as tea cooled.
Smooooth.
Lovely bright blue flowers against black tea.

Did not do well with milk.
Became a different cup, if still soothing, with milk & sugar; much as a fine bourbon neat becomes a different drink as a Manhattan.

This one reminds me a lot of the Silk Road Earl Grey that I used to get. It’s flowery, but not cloying, and it’s a nice first cup of the day. I’m not 100% sure I like the aftertaste, but this is only my first cup, so we’ll see how it stands up against the other Earl Greys available from Upton Tea.

This tea has just enough bergamot to be pleasantly fruity without overwhelming the tea base. The cornflower petals are pretty but I’m not overly concerned with the appearance of leaves, I’m more focused on flavor/aroma.

Very clear sharp taste of Bergamot, liked it a lot, liked it more with Upton’s Devonshire E G
