From Upton Tea Imports

Description:
This handcrafted tea is a more affordable version of our Supreme Huang Shan Mao Feng. The cup is sweet, with notes of apricot and pear. The liquor has a slightly darker hue than the Supreme, and is notable for its smooth flavor and light, sweet aftertaste.

I don’t recall that I’ve had too many Mao Fengs before so I thought I’d give this one a whirl.

Steeped with a regular infuser mug method, very slender and long attractive leaves which are nice. Wet leaves are quite vegetal smelling.

My cup yielded a very light olive colored tea with a slightly vegetal aroma. This tea is most likely a bit too mild for my tastes. I find myself wondering (like I do with dragonwell tea) where is the flavor?

This is light bodied, with a bit of sweetness and some fruitiness. A bit of apple, a bit of nuttiness. Slightly vegetal in taste. Eh, I don’t know what more to say about it. It is certainly drinkable and a quality tea, but does not thrill me. Someone who likes lighter Chinese teas should check into it. :)

I bought this sample awhile ago but hadn’t gotten around to drinking it.

It’s really, really light. I laughed that this is darker hued than a higher grade tea, because there is so little color to it I can’t even imagine.

The taste is light, but full of apricots and a hint of cherry. I like light teas but this is a bit too light for me.

Momo box tea! This is a delicate green with the sweetness of a white peach and the butteriness of sauteed spring greens. A delightful afternoon brew.
