O is for…Orange Chocolate

Thank you for sharing Sil but this isn’t for me. There have been so many different teas with this flavour profile and it’s mostly been done better. I think the base teas just don’t suit this flavour profile as well as a black tea does. I mean I may be bias but this is a lot of orange and oolong and not enough chocolate. On the bright side the pu’erh isn’t super obvious.

I placed an order with the tea girl a few weeks back based on some reviews from other steepsterites and because i just needed something new. I took a risk on this blend because i don’t think i’ve seen an oolong/puerh blend before and love chocolate orange when done well.

This one? Not what i want in a chocolate orange BUT i want to revisit it again to be certain. What i did like is that occasionally bright notes of orange really came though and were super tasty. What was missing though was the chocolate side of things. it also wasn’t super oolongy which made me happy :)
