Not a bad tea. Do love a black tea for breakfast. Found I really like this, has a slightly smoky flavor with hits of malt.

Keemun Oolong Tea – Keemun, a small and robust leaf, is only cultivated in the Anhui province, a region of southern China. A touch of Formosan oolong adds a hint of smokiness to this sweet cup.

I over leafed this a bit to finish off the last of the sample. It was a risk that ended well. The tea ended up richer instead of bitter like I have experienced in some over leafing situations. I’m almost done with this cup already, but I’m questioning how much I like it. I do like it, but I was quite taken by it in my first cup. I could probably stand to buy another sample and do further investigating!
It does live up to its All Day moniker – a good, comforting, reliable tea to drink throughout the day.
Added milk & sugar.
I may have oversteeped it a bit or added more leaf than needed, as this pot was somewhat more tannic than when I usually make it by the cup.
Flavors: Malt, Tannic, Tannin
It is unconventional to blend Keemun, a black tea, with Oolong tea, because Oolong steeps better in water that is below boiling.
I prepared this tea with a pre-heated teapot and boiling water, and it turned out to be really good. It is an unusually interesting tea, earthy, sweet and slightly spicy, starting strong and finishing smooth and mellow. It makes a dark orange liquor, does not need to be brewed any longer than three minutes, and has a very appreciable flavor without milk or anything else added. It has no bitterness at all.
A very good tea. Save it for when you have time to drink it slowly and enjoy the flavor.
