So I’m fairly inexperienced with Senchas, so keep that in mind. I can get behind this tea though. Theres a vegetal taste to i, but it’s not so overpowering that I can’t handle it. The tea is a lovely yellow/green colour as well. This was one of my samples from my Persimmon tree order that I hadn’t had a chance until now to try. I’d order this again as a light refreshing tea :) Oh and in case you weren’t already aware, the Persimmon Tree Tea samples are a great size, allowing for multiple cups to get acquainted with the tea!

TTB countdown, only 5 left now I think!

I am keeping this, I feel like I really don’t have any plain sencha. It’s not much, just one of Persimmon Tree’s sample packets but I quite enjoy it. Grassy and sweet, and just right for when I had it…right before noon, more beer cheese soup. I am so full still.

Also I really, really love the color of the brewed tea. It’s almost as if it’s tinged with neon yellow just slightly.

I got this in sample size in my last order from Persimmon Tree. This tea lands in my acquired taste list. I find that with some teas, I do not like them right away, but I do not dislike them. I often find myself craving these teas later at times over a tea I liked at first try.

This brews into a yellow-green clouded liquor and tastes grassy and vegetal.

This is like drinking grass. Which I am a fan of. It isn’t bitter and held up to a few steeps. I haven’t had a whole lot of sencha before, so I don’t have much to compare it to, but I would happily drink it again.

Backlog. I only did a quick steep of this in the morning before heading off for the day, so I can only say that it tasted pretty typical of a sencha: grassy, vegetal. I will rate and note properly when I can actually sit down to have a cup instead of rushing like today. Well, okay, one more note. When I came back home, there was still some left in the cup that had significantly cooled down (of course), which made me think that I may try cold brewing this one, too!
