Ten Ren’s Special Ti Kuan Yin Loose Tea is one of TenRen’s most popular Ti Kuan Yin tea products. In this decorative box, you will find an equally decorative canister with 10.6 ounces/300 g of loose Ti Kuan Yin tea inside. The water used to steep this tea should be about 185-195°F or 85-90°C. Use about 2 teaspoons (3 grams) of tea leaves for about every 5 ounces (150 milliliters) of water. A steeping time of about 3-5 minutes is recommended with more or less time depending on the desired concentration. As a rough guide, the higher the temperature of the water or the greater the amount of leaves used, the shorter the steeping time should be.

This has to be one of the best dark Ti Kuan Yin teas that I’ve had yet. A good mellow roast taste with a very smooth texture to the brew with a sweet finish. While I was initially hesitant to order this one from the “nice tin” and low price of only $15 for 300g I am glad that I did as this is rightly one of their most popular TKY products based upon its quality alone with its value and fancy packaging that makes it suitable for gift giving a nice bonus.
Can’t dismiss a testimony like that (especially for a dark TGY, the oolong that first bit me). Will be making a Ten Ren order…
Glad you found it helpful. Also heads up when it comes to tea, especially oolongs I tend to focus upon cheaper ones that taste good, so that is the best dark TKY within the price range that I’m willign to pay.
