From the Pu TTB
A delicate sheng that’s reminiscent of a good green tea. Somewhat vegetal/umami with notes of green wood, honey, and fresh tobacco. Very infusable, very attractive whole leaves. Later steeps have a mango fruityness alongside sugarcane and vegetal notes. Lacking in the punch that I expect from young sheng. Almost definitely a “drink now” puerh.
Overall a very friendly sheng that would serve as a good introduction for someone looking for low bitterness or coming from green teas.

Taste: I was shocked when i first opened this pack of tea it wasn’t the typical pu-erh i was used to seeing. What i encountered was green leaves followed by a vegetable aroma, instead of the typical dark leaf/earthy aroma. It produced a yellow toned tea the aroma closer to a white or green tea. As for taste it was very light in flavor that is what set it apart from the previous pu-erh.

Yeah, I get real nice huigan from Phoenix Dancong sometimes :D
I just get sweetness from start to finish with Dancongs. Where have you gotten Dancongs from in the past?
The one I have right now is from Verdant tea. It is really good. I like a long steep
I like the Dancong from Jing Tea Shop, especially Mi Lan. I also need to try Tea Habitat, that’s essentially all they do, Dancong.

Did you steep the whole packet or part of it? I can’t find instructions on how much to use anywhere. I’m doing the whole thing with a shorter steep, so I hope I have not killed my sample.
