From Teavana

A melange of green tea and South African Rooibos in combination with ripe papaya and peach pieces. Together they create an explosion of flavor, aroma and health benefits. This is a delicious green tea and perfect for those who have not tried green tea before.

Health Benefits of Fruta Bomba Green Tea

By combining green tea, Rooibos and fruit, you get the health benefits of all three! This tea boosts your immune system, helps avoid cancer (EGCG), regulates your blood sugar level, reduces allergies, increases iron absorption, aids in digestion and is full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. This tea contains approximately 5% of the caffeine in a cup of coffee.

How to Prepare

Use 1.5 teaspoons of tea per 8 ounces of water. Heat water to 175 degrees and steep tea for 2 minutes. 2oz of tea equals 25-30 teaspoons.

Ingredients: Green tea, red Rooibos, peach bits, apple bits, candied papaya, carrot bits, raisins and marigold, mallow, and sunflower petals.

This was a refreshing iced tea to have post workout this morning. I love the tropical flavors in this blend. And surprisingly, I can still taste the green tea base throughout the sip. Yum. My husband is in love with this tea as well. I will have to keep this one on hand for him. At least until Blackberry Mojito comes back into stock.

KeenTeaThyme

Did I send you some blackberry mojito? I have a little bit left; I can split with you.

Meghann M

You did:) I can wait until they have more. He loves it as iced tea and drinks so much of it that I better save for at least 8oz.

Not that exciting but not terrible either. I think this would be pretty tasty iced.

really very light. i used about 1 1/2 teaspoons per 12 oz of water, but will definitely be adding more to future cups to get a stronger flavor. it smells incredible, but the taste it just barely there.

This has a nice, fruity flavour and tastes great iced. However, I find it really light and it has a tendency to get bitter. There are other fruity teas I prefer so I probably won’t repurchase.

I like this green tea, as my favorite flavored greens are tropical. It can be bitter if not brewed correctly. The water should not be hotter than 175, and it only needs to steep for two minutes. I’m not a huge fan of Teavana (especially the actual stores- can you say “Pressure to buy?”) but this is one of my favorites that they sell.

I’ll preface this by saying I’m still somewhat new to teas, but this is by far the worst of any kind I’ve tried. Strong, bitter, and hard to choke down. Took to a friends and had her make a second pot for us and we both were making “yuck” faces. Sorry I can’t provide more insight, but it’s been the one exception since I started my tea adventure.

As a green tea, this is the lightest I’ve ever tried. I had high hopes since it’s filled with fruit, but it doesn’t intoxicate me as other, even cheaper, green teas have. At least it’s pretty. I think this will be better served as iced tea.

I’ve only had this one time and it was ok, sweet & fruity. My boys though Love this tea with some Honeybush, they ask for it almost every evening before bed.
