One of the most sought after teas in the world today. These “Frost” teas have gone thru slight freezing temps while still on the bush. This results in an unusual and pronounced character in both the aroma and the cup. Very aromatic, very fruity, very sweet, perfectly smooth and balanced and absolutely delightful.

“Intoxicating aroma” is the phrase that comes to mind while brewing this tea. It’s the most fragrant unflavored tea that I’ve ever tasted. The pure tea-like goodness rolls from the cup as it’s poured and the flavor does not disappoint, either. Incredibly smooth and spicey, it reminds me of assam, but it is lighter and not so full-bodied.

Before steeping, this tea has a very fruity aroma. Very sweet smelling. Almost too sweet. After brewing it loses most of that fruity sweetness and takes on an almost earthy scent. The flavor is smooth and mellow. It’s a lovely tea I almost can’t get enough of.

I took a little sample from the TTB a while back for a day like today. I really enjoyed trying some new teas today.

A bit prone to bitterness but fairly flavourful and fruity. I didn’t find it sweet at all or particularly fruity, but the hints of white grape and apricot are faintly there.
